Jason's old car is a well sorted S50. Very quick around Llandow circuit. The trouble is that modifications are a very personal thing. There is little left to do to Jason's and I bet Insurance companies will have a field day with that. Priced well for someone that wants those kind of mods, but a limi...

Was hoping I could it it myself rather than pay someone ARB bushes at the front are a doddle. Just make sure to jack up both sides of the front of the car to remove any loading ...

Which bushes is it, the anti-role-bar or the trailing arm? The ARB ones are dead easy and require no special tools. The trailing arm ones are a pig and need a special bearing tool. Unless you are really into it I would go with stock bushes again. Especially on the trailing arm as the poly ones can s...

Anyhow, the DEH-7200SD from Pioneer won out, and it works wonders: The idea is that the chrome dial and surround match the standard dash chrome surrounds, whilst also maintaning a almost fully black appearence. Photo from my iphone, so pretty pants as always, and it looks much better in 'the flesh'...

I thought the general agreement was OEM discs are the best you can get short of a big brake kit conversion ie the floating setup is better then any aftermarket options, albeit you don't get fancy looking grooves or holes ? In Europe we have the flaoting rotors on the ///M, so OEM is a good as it ge...

At 60k they will be well knackered and not what you want on a sports car. Bilstein OEM = good call. While you are there I would replace the controll arm rear bush with the OEM ///M unit. ARB bushes with new OEM and look at the ARB drop-links for any play in the ball joints. all are liely to be tired...

How many miles on your car when you bought it? If it was 40k or more then it was pretty well worn when you got it and you never saw it at its best. Unless you really want something different I would go OEM (Sachs Boge) or Bilstein (stock replacement). Damping rate is correct for the car and handling...

Of course, as new drivers are tought to use the brakes to control speed down hills, rather than using engine braking, they tend to use the brakes a lot more than we older people, who were taught to drive properly. You must have heard the mantra that 'Gears are for going, and brakes are for stopping...

S It snapped, i did tighten it a bit too much, but only hand tight, it just clicked and went round again, took it out and half of it stayed in the car. All done know but very annoying! Depending on the bolt, the tightening torque can only be 25nm, which is nothing really. You can do that with a 1.4...

Far out man
I think they would sit way too far out.
ET28 is 13mm less offset and being an inch (25.4mm) wider means the inner edge would be in the same place, but they would stick out 26mm more than standard.

A couple of weeks ago I had the misfortune to hit a pothole in our recently acquired E60 530d. Tyre gone, wheel gone and steering just a little out of bonk.
