Re: New Exhaust for the Zed

Mines the older M52 which is different in layout underneath and sounds quite different to RockyDave's 2.2 which I think is the M54 (but stand to be corrected), this this being a lot smoother in sound and more subtle than mine. My M52 sounds a bit more in your face but does sound lovely when above 40...

Brian, when I do the drop links next week I'll check the ARB's. I've heard that probably its best to keep the standard OEM bushes rather than make things too harsh?

New Meyle control arms and fitted them yesterday, bit fiddly but not a horrendous job providing you have a splitter and club hammer! http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r654/koolflyer/20150423_134020_zpsko5bwll9.jpg http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r654/koolflyer/20150512_173926_zpspo8pqnuq.jpg

Really helpful guys and more than happy to let me watch what was going on. Cat back fitted to my Nov 1997 2.8 was £485 fitted. (Note that my 2.8 is a single c...

Hi Goose Question is, does your car have a secondary air pump? Black circular unit front left of engine as you look at it, attached to a much smaller circular metal unit. Some do and some don't (added for the American market but not required this side of the pond). If it doesn't I'd suggest the visc...

Surplus 2.8 exhaust

I've just had a s/steel Cat back exhaust put onto my 2.8. I saved the original old OEM system as although it has done 126k it does not blow. Just thought it a shame to let it get skipped, when it could help someone here on the forum out of a problem. A sleeve has been welded to one end of the cut pi...

Hi David, am I right that yours is a twin cat with the two pipes running parallel into the rear box? They do vary, as my 1997 2.8 has a single cat with one pipe leading to a mid box then onto the rear box. Matter of interest what diameter tale pipes did you decide on.
