Although these were a factory option I think that they were fitted by dealers as part of the PDI and, yes they did drill a bigger hole which is why a lot of Zeds get the paint bubbling around the chrome ring.

Hi Bertie - I had read similar accounts but made sure I got the exact part number. This limits the choice available but hopefully doesn't add more problems. As I know M-Sports suspension is standard on all Z3 cars and LSD is standard on specific models of Z3 (6cyl?). Correct me if I am wrong. As I happened to be passing the local dealer I called in to get a new washer jet for the Z3 - £8.69 (excl VAT)!!!! When I was filing the invoice I looked back as I had to replace one in April 2008 and the price then - £1.58 (excl VAT). Is there a separate BMW Inflation rate????

If you've got a breaker nearby then I would probably start there, as long as the sensor is still connected on the car you could remove it and just take the spring. You could try a small dab of a suitable glue as on new pads the sensor is nowhere near the disc and effectively just sits there - I usua...

I didn't get chance to sort out the re-coding before we went away but finally got it done today at Quarry Motors in Sheffield. The rear brakes don't look that good!!!! It's not just doing more miles as the brakes are biased towards the front (as most cars are) therefore the rear brakes quite often do very little braking. It looks as if some after market pads have been fitted and they look to be much smaller than OEM judging...
