With Saturdays heavy rain I noticed ours has a few drips just behind each door, at the car waistline. I assume the little 'bucket' inside drains through to the bottom of the car ?

I thought it might be useful - say if you were parked topless at a rally or similar....
But no I haven't really thought this through, I just wondered how to do it should the need arise

Thanks

I may be wrong (as I'm a Z newbie) but you might try glueing some extra rubber packing under the bonnet where it contacts the switch (Hope that makes sense)

1.9 Air Filter swap

Before I inspect the air filter on our new motor to see if its been changed, are there any tricks I should be aware of ?
I'm assuming the 4 clips will allow me access and there's enough flexiblity in the rubber trunking to lift the old filter out. Is there anything fragile inside ?

Thanks

I wouldn't get hungup about broken seatbelt guides. It's more of an annoyance really that a quality car has this design fault. There are diy fixes

Daft wind deflector question

Please bear with me - Is it possible to attach a mesh deflector (the type that fits OVER the roll hoops) directly over the seat headrests instead of the hoops? Mesh deflector of this shape - n---n I figure that the hoops and the headrests are approx the same shape so with some extra velco it might b...

Security and handbag storage

Yes this is a bit girly but do any women make a habit of putting their handbag in the rear seat locker when they out driving on their own ? I'm concerned that some lowlife will snatch Minnies handbag out of the car when she goes out alone and topless  Also is there a more secure taxdisc holder...

Thanks. This morning alarm didn't sound - so charged battery through boot for 3 hrs - entered radio code OK - central locking OK - drives OK Now looking for the cause of battery drain, I've removed the boot bulb for now as I see that the boot light stays on when the (2) boot switches are depressed. ...

Thanks, we've just been out for a drive and I found the battery clamp & screw in the boot. I just need a little more dexterity/daylight to access the tapped hole(s) in the well. BTW if I am allowed to drive it, I will need a passenger to relay the speed to me as I cannot see any speedo markings ...

Newbie question - battery clamp Z3 1.9

The Misses has just bought a 1999 Z3 1.9 and brought it home last night. She told me that she wanted an MX5 but thats another story! When I had a nose around in daylight this morning I noticed that the battery is loose in the boot well. Can anyone tell me how it should be secured - is it a strap ove...
