I am thinking it might be plugs. What services are they changed at? I don't think they are changed on oil services, only Inspections 1 and 2. The car is 7 years old with 19K miles on the clock. Its due a service, 1 light left on. It has only ever have 4 or 5 oil services and fluids twice. Do you thi...

Strange things on the way home from Gaydon.
Had a great day at the BMW Festival at Gaydon. There was a nice turn-out for Zroadster.net. The highlight had to be getting a few laps on the "secret" Aston Martin test track. On the way home, strange things started to happen. I was dropping my passenger off first in Stoke, 88 miles from G...

Would be sorted if i had 2 din slots, but no chance in the ///M. The lilliput is the best solution at t...

M Roadster v RS Cosworth with a turbo
On the motorway last night, i came across a RS Cosworth........ Neck and neck etc, but i let him pass as it was dangerous. Anyway, has he did, his car made a noise like a turbo valve (hiss type sound) and there was something expelled from his exhaust, don't know if it was steam or smoke, but came ou...

Yup, mine was a problem too. Turned out to be the actuators. The garage panicked a bit when i told him the symptoms as the afore mentioned loom which goes into the boot can be a big problem. Bored of Jane or Tim telling you to go left/right/straight ahead?? This is a must for TomTom 5 users. Have Ozzy Osbourne direct you instead. Down load this file and add it to your TomTom directory on your pocket pc / pda. Then go to configure and you should see it under special in change voice. Have...

Regarding the blowers, its not the airflow i am concerned about, its the physical position of them, ie. the base of the screen needs to protrude far enough forward for the screen to be able to tilt back slightly. The blowers stick out furher than the din slot, so may prevent the screen positioning c...

Mine did the same thing. I bought the car in Dec 04, passenger lock didnt work. Then the drivers one stopped. What setup are you going to use for in car pc? My VAIO notebook has just failed, the screen has intermittently stopped working. So....the missing keyboard is actually a bug, and is a bug that is present on ppc's with slide out keyboard, so beware when purchasing this. Early reports say that Tomtom won't release a fix, but because of so many complaints i think a fix is likely in the first update to tomtom5. Other than the bug...

Hmmm..... I dont see an on screen keyboard. As in all other apps on the pocket pc, you see the little grid which pops up a keyboard, but not on this tomtom5. Anybody tried TomTom 5 yet?
I just installed TomTom 5. Not really had much chance to play with it yet, but found one major flaw. I can only enter text (i.e. navigate to, enter address etc) via my M2000's slide out keyboard (for those who don't know its equiv to an XDA II pocket pc with a keyboard that slides out). There is no ...

Is my Vanos on its way out, or am i being paranoid?
I lifted the bonnet and give the throttle a blip and it definitely sounds like there is a hard spinning metal to metal type noise, like the growl that people talk about coming from the front of the engine. Is my vanos on its way out? I also think the sound from the engine has changed over the past w...

Would you send your service book to Warranty Direct?
I have to get my central locking sorted out on the car and would ideally like to make use of the WD gold policy that i bought in the group buy. But, the warranty will only be honoured if you can prove you have had the car serviced in the last 12 months. It has been, but before i bought the car. WD s...

Llandridnod Wells mid-wales meet over on Z4um 32 cars so far
I just registered my interest in this cruise over on Z4um. So far 32 cars, only a handful of Z3's. Lots of faces from the lakes weekend. Still places in the hotel too. A date for your September diary. Heres a link... http://www.z4um.com/viewtopic.php?t=8723&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start...
