I don't believe there was anything there as standard, maybe that is where an old 'car phone' cradle lived?

Small world, I'm on St Augustine's too..
The one I see is a standard 2.8 prefacelift but definitely Montreal Blue.
I've never seen Topaz Blue prefacelift before.
I also had a Topaz Blue facelift 2.2 but not for long back in 2013...
Blue Z's are getting common around here!

The only other Montreal Blue 2.8 I've noticed lives on the St Augustine's estate in Chartham, usually only notice it on the weekend when the sun is out ...

I get this on my screen after the car has stood for long time with hood up - the screen 'forgets' it's fold and needs some help.

Probably needs more roof down time to make a longer lasting fold in the material..

I believe the hydraulic lifters on the 6cul can be noisy until oil is fully circulating around them.
I've heard one at a track day make a big racket after some heavy cornering but the guy said it'll go away in a few minutes and it did.
That was a 2.8 but I assume pretty similar to the 2.2 you have.

You should be fine but they key thing to watch out for are the spikes on each rear corner, keep them clear of the body work!

Just a comment regarding the roof I believe all 6cyls had a power roof and it's probably just been disconnected. Another question, can it be held open in variable positions or is it fully open/closed?
Just thinking would it be possible to tailor how loud you want it by adjusting the opening on the fly.

They are Beyern Multis. I believe you can get them with black centers. They are made in BMW fitment so no spacers needed. Not a common wheel on a Z, not seen another wide body with these in staggered fitment anywhere. Has to be staggered in my opinion, it's all about the dish for me on these cars.. ...

I like it but it's going to be loud.
These videos can't capture just how loud it is in real life...
You can easily reverse it though...
I would like one that I could easily switch myself (remove the rear box when the mood takes me...)

Looks lovely, a rare site in Athens. Don't remember seeing many when I lived there.

It's a pity about the silly car tax rules there otherwise would just send you a 2.8...

Although a 1.9 must be plenty of fun sliding about on the shiny tarmac there, especially with snowy weather now...

The Alpina is special thing indeed. They do shift too.
The Z4M was a step back in 'specialness' and one of the most subdued looking M's.
Would need some work to make it 'special' looking in my opinion. No doubt it's a great driven though...
But I'd still take a Z3M just for the classic looks..

Spurs in a Coupe fan ran Z3M wheels on his 2.8 coupe which I believe is identical to the roadster in terms of wing width and axle.
It's was a red one with whit M wheels, you'll see pics of it about here.
I'm sure he'll be along to confirm.

Can I ask where you get a good deal on the yellow EBC?

I run yellows and mine and love them but don't track it.
They've lasted 30k road miles but if I can get a good price I'll keep them until needed, they are quite a bit more than 'regular' pads.

A Bentley engine in a Z3...now that's quite a change from 'screaming 6'. It must make all it's torque from just over idle... would be fun see to how little revs you need to sustain a slide!

You welcome to test fit it into mine when I come over.
Might have to reinforce the diff mounts a tiny bit...

You have a very nice employer!
After hearing an A45 and a 335i with aftermarket exhaust something tells me you'll miss the Alpina but the A45 looks a riot to drive on UK roads. It's super loud and pops and bangs in a very un-merc like fashion!

I need a front end spray and sills and am toying with the idea of a wrap but love the Montreal blue shade of my car..
If I had it my way I'd fully respray in original colour and wrap for a colour change just for fun!
