Z3 leather seats NOW SOLD
1 pair of black Z3 leather seats.Electric. Like the car they came out of they have been well cared for and are in good condition. The leather is without scuffs or tears. The sub-frame and ancillary bits are also in good condition and without damage. The seat motors work well, and the runners had new ...

Hi Racinsun, If I where looking for a Z3 to be my daily drive then I would go for the 3.0, but I can't agree with Graham that the only reason you should buy a 2.8 is if you can't afford a 3.0. When we were looking we had a very healthy budget and could have afforded any of the 3.0's that we saw for ...

Hi folks, Purchased a pair of standard Z3 electric seats that have been re foamed and reupholstered in charcoal grey leather with heavy red stitching and very nice they look, however on looking at the underside of the seat if you take hold of the runner that bolts to the floor of the car, on the driv...

we drove several Z3's and Z4's during our search, which to be fair were all nice cars. I do think that if we had needed to use the car every day that we would have gone with the Z4,however our Z is purely for pleasure and we preferred the classic lines and more involved driving experience of the Z3. ...

Wheel colour
Just bought a set of style 55 wheels to try on the car, three are in really good condition but one could do with a bit of tidying which I would like to do myself.
Does anyone know the colour, and if there is a thread anywhere on a DIY wheel refurb,
Thanks,
Steve

A few changes
Well we've had the car for a few weeks now and enjoying it very much, however we have decided to make a few changes. It's just had new standard ride height Monroe shocks and springs all round, the N/S front shock was totally shot and the rest weren't far behind. The wishbone bushes are being swapped f...

Are we not losing sight of the fact that this was a minor (but annoying) incident, with slight damage to the car. It hasn't been written off and I doubt that the police would award nine penalty points for causing a 'car park dent'. I can assure you she did get nine points on her license for this in...

Last year a somewhat dozy friend of my wife's had a 5mph shunt with an parked car in a local Asda. Having spent 5 years trying to pass her test she panicked and drove away leaving the car with minor damage to the N/S door. Two days later she has a visit from the police, the incident had been recorded...

Standard ride height springs
I'm looking to renew the suspension on my 97 2.8 Z3. Finding the shocks doesn't appear to be a problem, but I'm struggling with the springs. I wish for the ride height to remain the same as standard. If anyone could point me toward some decent springs and perhaps a supplier I would be most grateful. ...

Maybe her left leg is a bit weak - really! Try a few other Z3 or similar-engined BMW car clutches before you spend your money.
Hi Mike,
The Z we bought was the fifth one we had driven and the clutch is markedly heavier than any other we tried.

Firstly I will apologise for what may appear to be some daft questions, but after hours of searching I just appear to have confused myself. Our recently purchased 97 2.8 does have a rather heavy clutch,a bmw specialist has advised us the only real cure is a new clutch but at £550 I'm thinking is there anything we should try first.

Does anyone know if it is possible to move the drivers electric seat further forward on it's runners.
Our problem is that even when the seat is fully forward Joanne is still struggling slightly to reach the pedals.
