It's not a lot of money for a larger engined Z3 with hardtop. £500 bodywork would make it very nice, for the same total outlay as a ten year old MX5 1.8.
I guess take your choice. Both are great cars.

You can get the bonnet vents from BMW.
I found that the best look was obtained with the chrome vents but using the black mesh grille part from the original vents. As the chrome vents with chrome mesh were a little too much in my opinion.

I hope that fixes it.
Thinking about it, the noise on my 928 S4 was not so much a vibration, more of a "dub dub dub dub dub" noise under load and at tickover.
So yours might be just the bushes as suggested.

The door trim is fairly easy to remove if you need to.
Type "Z3 door card removal" into Google and there's a guide to show you how to do it.

Do they look OK? I assume they just stick on over the black plastic handles. They seem to range in price from £10 to over £30 for a pair.

Re: B*stard main dealers
Fortunately modern cars will not be affected so much by poor maintenance. Most new cars have an indicator to tell you when a service is due. On a modern BMW this can be 20,000 miles or even more. I sold my Renault van with 100,000 miles on the clock. I'd serviced it regularly and it was running fine...

The aerial does have an amplifier and if you removed it from the wing, you probably in doing so removed the earth connection, so it will no longer work.

Most cars seem to have parts that people claim you are "better off without" On the Z3 it's the CDV. On my Land Rover there are a few "take off" items....the CAT, the EGR valve, the centre pipe. On my Honda Hornet 900 it was the flap valve in the air intake. On my Transit Connect ...

As already noted, if you fit a new rear trim piece and your Z3 has the electric roof motor in the boot, it leaves a small gap in the boot carpet on the left side.
I cut a square out of the carpet l took out, and fitted it behind the side trim piece to fill the gap, and it looks pretty much perfect.
