I had a few warnings come up on my old 5 & they were always spot on.
I even had wording come up when a bulb went, telling me where. Brilliant old car :)

I did this poll out of pure curiosity, as its a very common subject on this site.

I think if you want a cheap improvement then bleed the pipes & put in new fluid. this is supposed to be done every 2 years & its possible that its never been done. it should only cost you a few pounds.

The little buckle clips attatch to the front behind the seat, you may have to move the seats forward a bit to get yr hand in. if you look under the bonnet there is a small box with a red plus sign on it lift the box there is a metal rod. attatch the positive, red terminal (+) to it and the negative (-) black terminal to a nut on the body this charges the battery without removal

I bought my car in July put new tyres on, Changed the oil & filters with top quality oil then drove to southern spain & back totaling 3500 miles with out it missing a beat after owning it for 3 weeks..... Fantastic

To protect my hood
i used a large cotton sheet with old tankbag magnets wrapped in rubber netting to keep it in place when i was in spain last month. it worked a treat

Hello Pedro My 2.2 is the same re milage & exhaust being black inside.
Regarding the speed, its pretty quick but very smooth so doesnt seem quick

I just did a pretty comprehensive test i.e 3500 miles in just over 2 weeks using various 98 octane petrols the exhaust remained black
