I bought the Meguiars 'Gold Class' as well, it left my leather slippery and shiny for about 2 weeks afterwards.

It did seem to soak in eventually though, even on the passenger seat which wasn''t sat in in that time.

It does sound like we bought the wrong brand though! :roll:

I also got the aero type of ebay but I bought 20/19 inch rather than 20/20 inch, they do fit much better. The 20 inch on the passenger just looked too long.

I do get some smearing in the center though. They do the job ok but I would probably spend the extra money next time for something better.

I had a problem with my bonnet switch activating the alarm. I think there should have been a pad which was either worn or missing so the alarm switch wasn't being pushed down far enough to make a proper contact. I just stuck a sticky pad under the bonnet where the original pad was and now it works p...

My aircon didn't work at all when I bought the Zed in June, I suspected a leak as there was no cooling effect at all.

I took it to Kwik Fit for a £50 re-gas at and now it is cool as ice!

I don't really do much polishing, shining, detailing etc but I do happen to have a bottle of Autoglyms SRP in the garage, it is sat next to the bottle of T-cut, yikes! :shock:

I had my boot lock out a couple of weeks ago with no problems. There are 2 link rods which simply pull out and then the 2 bolts you have already mentioned, I didn't lose any bits until I had taken the lock mechanism itself completley to bits! Once the lock is out the rubber will push out very easily...

Thanks but I am going to steer clear of the NGK I think. It is a good price though, and with Paypal I could get a refund if they didn't work!!

No it revs up fine, either the misfire/roughness disappears or is much less notceable when revving or driving.

Hopefully that rules out cam sensors.

I bought BKR6EQUP at first then when I checked NGK website they were for the post '99 2.8. I took them back and swapped them for BKR6EK!

Was your friend's one of the newer 2.8s?

Logically I think you are right Rusty Zed, it has crossed my mind a couple of times today but the thought of putting those crusty old ones back in just seems wrong! Although I did put the old air filter back in just to make sure the new one wasn't too clean!

Ok, I seem to have asked the unanswerable question! I have poked about under the bonnet and read various threads all day but to no avail. The car will start fine, idle smoothly for about 2 to 3 minutes then go all lumpy (misfiring?). Even when starting from warm it still runs for a couple of minutes...
