I'm growing a moustache!
I am growing a moustache to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. I have managed to get through the first week of itching and scratching and am now onto the second week where people start to give me strange looks. It does lo...

wildeboy's Beige / Black Interior
I mentioned in another thread somewhere that I had fitted a mixture of black and beige interior panels when I fitted my OEM rollhoops last weekend. Someone has asked for photos so here you are. In fact it is only the central unit which is black and I refitted the original small cubby cover in beige ...

I had a problem with my bonnet switch activating the alarm. I think there should have been a pad which was either worn or missing so the alarm switch wasn't being pushed down far enough to make a proper contact. I just stuck a sticky pad under the bonnet where the original pad was and now it works p...

I have just fitted OEM roll hoops to my 97 pre facelift z3 last weekend. The hoops, brackets and top trim panels were all from a 2000 facelift zed. I had to also use the facelift side panels, the ones with the rear speakers in, as the turret covers didn't fit on the original ones. I have to say the ...

Thanks to Zed Carer for organizing a good day out. Beautiful weather for the drive up but a bit chilly once there! My family had a great time too, in the bird garden and playground! Hi Zed Carer, What kind of drive are you having from Ferrybridge upto Wetherby? I always thought a 'classic car' was an old rust bucket that was locked in a garage, waiting to be tinkerd with to get the old girl running... ;-) In that case my Z is getting very close to being a classic  Ok, it's not that bad yet but it isn't proving to be reliable modern tec beast of a m...

You agree and they get in the back seat.
I wonder if I could fit them both in the front????

I don't think the drivers seat has a Seat Occupancy Detector. It's purpose is, in the event of a crash, to only deploy the passenger airbag if there is a passenger in the car. The seat occupancy detector is a wire mesh located in the seat which is very prone to damage from wear. I am sure if you do ...

Lumpy Idle after New plugs 1997 2.8
I have just put a set of new spark plugs and air filter in my 1997 2.8, and have just taken it for a quick run round the block. It started fine and seemed to idle ok after starting, aceleration was very smooth and slightly better than before I think. I pulled up in the local Tesco carpark and at idl...

I have had my '97 2.8 Z3 since Friday and love it despite it having a few, mainly electrical problems. I have removed the glove box to see which alarm is fitted and have found a loose wire!
