Last of the pre-facelift, very nice! Looks a great spec! Especially with the extended leather dash console, boomerangs and door pulls! I'm definately jealous of all those features! On top of that, the elec/heated M seats finish of the interior! 8-) Do you mind me asking the mileage and how much it s...

Out of interest, I noticed you have a switch blank and was wondering what should fill it. I am guessing that M's didn't come with traction as standard, the only other switch would be A/C/Recirculate... was this also an option on M's? I'm glad you spent out on the OEM part, a resprayed part would nev...

Exterior Makeover - Part 1 Black Tonneau Cover - 24/05/2008 http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a388/yalden/Z3/germanborder.jpg I hated the unfinished look of the car with the roof down, as a result a Black tonneau cover had to be purchased (especially with all the recent sunshine). Interior Makeover - Part 5 I Bit the Billet - 24/05/2008 http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a388/yalden/Z3/germanborder.jpg I decided to replace my chrome gearknob with something a little nicer, a Storm Motorwerks V1 shifter! As for the airbag light, go to a friendly garage and get it done for a few quid cash in hand. It'll probably just need a code-reset! I thought that as well when mine came on. Glad I did go to a BMW main dealer in the end as it turned out the airbag in the steering wheel needs replacing. Having gone...

I don't think any of your problems warrant a visit to the dealership, they're simple enough and could be solved at a fraction of any BMW dealership costs. Coding a key can be done yourself, I'll try to remember to look tonight and I'll copy it from my manual for you. As for the windscreen chip, go s...

1 - This is a common fault, often caused by pretensioners playing up. It doesn't mean that anything is wrong or needs replacing. I had the same problem when I purchased mine, I took it to my local garage, he plugged a diagnostic in and reset it free of charge... job done! I'd never go to BMW for thi...

I have removed and refitted my centre console twice since ownership (which is just over a month). The first time was to remove it for fitment of the carbon fibre console, the second was to remove it so that I could fit the leather boomerangs! If you're careful enough you won't break anything! Begin ...

I used a credit card, slide it centrally beneath the cartridge to eject. Then I removed all CD's from the cartridge and reinserted. I noticed while pressing the eject button it then unloaded a jammed CD but reloaded it automatically, I force ejected it while the said jammed CD was in the cartridge. ...

Out of curiosity, where has your chrome boot lock surround gone? I prefer no spoiler, but out of the set it has to be the one on the white Z3. As has been said, I think the money would be better invested on a set of red/clear rear lights. I've never been a fan of a spoiler on a convertible of any ki...

If you're not fully clued up on Z3's, make sure you look into the facelifted model that occured later in '99, the rear end was revised to be more curvy with rear lights that slightly resemble those off the E46 3 series (they contain a step). I didn't realise until I started looking into Z ownership ...

Hi all, Before attempting to remove a couple parts of trim, I thought I'd seek some advice! Hopefully it'll prevent me from breaking anything! I expect if you give it a good shot, you'll get a set fitted relatively easily. Just take your time and think about what you're about to do before you go and do it. Treat everything with care and follow all instructions. I actually purchased the above set via ebay recently, I thought it'd be worth a...
