Euro car parts have a good offer this weekend, 50 percent discount on a Karcher K2. Pressure washers are ideal for under the wheel arches etc. The important thing is not to get too close with the lance.

A common problem with washers is the little valve where the pipe enters the nozzle. item 10 here:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=61&fg=45.
They get blocked and leak inside the bonnet. I have had the problem on my E30 and the zed.

I have recently bought the BM technics one. I have been using it on my 325ti and it seems very comprehensive but takes a bit of learning to someone schooled in old technology. Getting there though. It is good value and the back up seems good there is a fair bit of gen on using it online.

My first car was a 1949 Morris six, the Morris version of the old wolseley 6-80 which the police used. Bought at auction for £15, I kept it for 3 weeks and sold it to a neighbour for £30. I then bought a 1937 SS 2.5 litre, i wish I still had that. I have always loved a sraight 6 :)

The first clutch on my E30 325 lasted 160,000 miles and the alternator has just been changed for the first time at 217,000, the gearbox is original and perfectly OK.
