Euro car parts have a good offer this weekend, 50 percent discount on a Karcher K2. Pressure washers are ideal for under the wheel arches etc. The important thing is not to get too close with the lance.

A common problem with washers is the little valve where the pipe enters the nozzle. item 10 here:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=61&fg=45.
They get blocked and leak inside the bonnet. I have had the problem on my E30 and the zed.

I fitted those about 18 months ago, they are an improvement in looks and performance. I prefer the chrome ones having a car with the OEM chrome pack, but it is a matter of preference.

Re: Code reader
I have recently bought the BM technics one. I have been using it on my 325ti and it seems very comprehensive but takes a bit of learning to someone schooled in old technology. Getting there though. It is good value and the back up seems good there is a fair bit of gen on using it online.

The rear window is quite easy to replace yourself. The OEM kit is about £200 but there are cheaper options on e bay. I used the OEM one and it took less than an hour.

I used them for the first time last Friday. They are a bit of a job to fit on the zed due to the clearance between wheel and bodywork but once fitted they are very good. I work on an airfield and there was about 4 inches of snow and outside the roads were packed ice for a few miles before I took the...

Thanks for the various tips. I will try the other key idea tonight when I get home. I am using a Maxiscan MS309 code reader, I could try moving the Garmin Eco-rout over fromt the Zed and trying that. The engine spins over fine, there just appears to be either no spark or fuel, the slight misfire i h...

Looking at the regions different people come from, it looks as though we need a north of Goodwood meeting point and a southerly one and all meet up either there or nearby.

I have received my tickets but no car sticker or infield parking although the ticket says entry + v pass. Fault codes
I decided to do a diagnostic check with the Garmin Ecoroute and it came up with fault code P1620 which according to the Bentley manual is Map cooling thermostat signal high. I pressed reset and it happily disappeared. does anyone know what this means?

It depends what you want it for. For pure fun, I would go for a manual, but for practicality an auto. The auto is relaxed and easy for every day use and if you want to play put it in sport mode or manual mode and go. I have a 3 litre auto and it is great fun. It also came in very useful when I broke...
