Aceman.... can't remember exactly but I think it was something like £60 for the key itself and £20 for coding it to the central locking (I could have done this bit myself I suppose, but decided not to chance it). I think its great to find someone being truthfull on Ebay... makes a change.. sometime...

Did you do a full uninstall beforehand including manually deletaing any remenants left behind, it just seems from the thread on Bimmerforums.com if you read to the end there are many people with exactly the same problem as yourself and most of them have resolved it following mikes instructions. I ha...

This thread has been most informative and has stopped me buying a key off Ebay. Interestingly I did see one advertised on Ebay that basically said what "ribs" has said that you won't be able to code it to your vehicle which I thought strange and set alarm bells ringing in my head, why woul...

Met Steve a few times in the early 90's as I used to know his manager, I am suprised he has sold the plate though as he very much prized it.

You would be better hosting your pictures on PhotoBucket then they will display in full when you include the link in your threads. Just click on the "IMG" code under your photo's in your photobucket account and paste them into your text like this; http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff210/u...

Very nice Rob, fantastic photo's.

Regarding the front indicator mod did you just remove the amber lens and fit the chrome indicator bulbs leaving just the reflector rather than fitting a clear lens. Any chance of a closer pic of the headlights as I might do this mod myself dependinh how it looks.

I have been thinking of getting Carsoft myself but your comments worry me as to whether it is worth it. One thing that springs to mind as I know coming from VAG vehicles if you use a USB to serial adapter you could not connect to all of the modules. What are you guys using in terms of interface ? I ...

That's a good buy I think I will give that a look myself. How does it perform, where have you mounted the mic for the bluetooth?

I have an older Alpine unit fitted so presumably I woould need a different adapter lead to fit this Kenwood into my Z3?

Thanks Kiwi, I am still a newbie to Z3's so appreciate the heads up on the spec. I also love the seats and when I was looking around for one I had made my mind up that I had to have the sport seats. The alloys as you say are in very good condition with only one slight mark on one of the wheels which...
