I think a RHD conversion would be expensive and may ultimately limit the wider market appeal of the car given values appear to be much higher on the continent.
LHD on UK roads isn't a problem for me given the Z1isn't the fast thing on four wheels for overtaking a convoy of dawdling traffic.

With the new heat shields sitting on the bench goading me to fit them and break a manifold stud, or two, I finally put them away and bottled out by fitting heat sleeves over the two plug leads above the holed heat shield.

A sticky hazard warning light switch maybe ? The rear fog light switch has been known to stick in the on position, probably due to lack of use.

Derek, I have used a couple of specialists to sonically clean, rebuild and calibrate speedos for old Land Rovers and MG's. May be worth contacting them. Whoever bought this will probably need a new set of OEM P700-Z tyres. Given Felix experience I am not sure I would want to drive the car which is still on its original 28 year old tyres.

See the attached thread. The BMW recommendation is Castrol SHC 630 which is difficult to source and very expensive. Redline MTL 75W-80 GL4 is a widely used alternative.

Sounds a good car, (unlike the Chilli Red ones), hope it sells well given the low estimate and mileage.
I see the auctioneers are still showing it as a 4 cylinder car in the summary which may suggest it does not have its original 6 cylinder engine.

Has anyone replaced the combined exhaust manifold gaskets and heat shields on a DIY basis ? They are not leaking however, the rear heat shield element is holed.
