I was told that if there were two chips close together, even if they were only small, they could not be repaired successfully. Yours look too big and right in your line of sight. Best to accidentally drop a hammer on it.... metaphorically speaking. Also, beware of insurers who don't reduce your NCD ...

IIRC, S50s had electric hoods as an optional extra, but I'm not 100% on that. Hey Pete. That's the outdoor one which is rubbish. As you say, it's rough inside and not breathable which results in moisture being trapped and condensation forming.
