zedebee - I think that for some models (post-99) you can have that function programmed on or off by the dealer or someone with the appropriate computer equipment. Not sure about older cars though.. I don't think it's a DIY job anyway! SilverSpoon - The reference point is step 5 and on. If you can g...

The engine bay box switches the siren on-off. I'm not sure I understand what are you trying to do exactly.. Are you just trying to get an additional keyfob programmed into your alarm system? If so, you need to follow steps 5 and on ONLY. The problem I had with mine is that apparently the battery had...

Sometimes I get this feeling that people who are somehow involved in speed cameras (manufacture, design, installation, running) either don't drive or are very fond of their cruise control buttons. I would have very much preferred that 120 million raised a year go to employ real policemen to do a pro...

I know it's hard but sometimes you have to give out some tough love. Just do the right thing and buy your missus another Z, you know it's the only way :) Seriously though, I would also advise to just forget about that car. If the parents wanted their son to sell it, they would have just transferred ...

Apparently BMW have changed it for a longer unit which is designed to prevent VANOS de-synch... there was a website I came across with a guy detail...

I was playing about in photoshop and ended up with this 60's style coupe by using the original hardtop as a basis.
I thought the result was quite funny but I ended up liking that retro look so I thought I'd post it here, hopefully you'll have a good laugh just like i did

As previously said, it all depends where you want to store your ipod. In my car, I've installed an aux socket where the ashtray usually is. The car came with a non-smoker package so instead of the ashtray I have a little storage area. I ran the aux stereo cable from the rear of my unit right under t...

Yeah, well, Greece and Denmark and Finland are probably making too much money from taxing car imports so heavily and that's why they are still doing it, even though it is illegal under European law. Spot the difference
Let's play a wee game of spot the difference :) Here is my new Z side by side with my old Z (which has had a much nicer looking bumper fitted recently and has still not been sold - anyone interested?) I only spotted the difference yesterday and I can't really say which looks best... What do you think?
