Good luck with the sale, I'd still be tempted to get rid of mine but the issue I'm faced with is not knowing what car I could buy for the money which would be nicer/better than my Z3. :?

Looks great and demonstrates that M wheels DO fit a non-M if done right! If it's catching from time to time, just roll the lip on the rear arches, simples. I paid about £30 for both mine to be rolled 8-) What is the build quality on the Weitec's like? I'd like to buy a new set of coilovers for mine ...

The problem with the Weissman hardtop is that it's not too dissimilar from the OEM one. I'd only be willing to pay out for one if it came with the leather headlining as opposed to the velour.

I love Design E's, if I had a spare £400 I'd be very tempted! I bought a set brand new about 5 years ago, they were sealed in the original Hartge boxes, stamped June 1998. My friend has a lovely white R-limited Mk1 MX-5. It's white with red leather and red mohair roof.

He has just fitted a Supercharger and bought himself some custom 3-pc BBS RM split rims with mega rare MS centres. I think he'll be turning his nose up at multiple Z's anytime soon... :lol:

I'd like to fit a set of Z3m wheels to mine, I'd probably fit some 20mm spacers to the front to even up the front & rear poke.

I think he's probably refering the sport mesh from BMW, I think mine cost me circa £30 and is a simple DIY fit in place of the standard 'slats'.

Does the original loom make it as far as the speakers? If so then I guess you're right - there must be a break in the circuit. If that's the case I'd assume it would be somewhere suitable to place an amplifier? Perhaps behind the glove box or passenger footwell? :?

When fitting my Aero skirts I know that there are a row of bolts beneath the plastic trim which sits inside the drivers door shut. When I purchased my car I had the same issue, I removed the washer bottle and cleaned out the gauge filter that sits in its base. I also used a power washer to remove the gunk that had built up within the inner edges of the bottle!

It was a 15min job :wink:

I'd chose the Z4 :oops:

I love the shape of the Z3, it's got a certain retro cool appeal which right now I don't want to let go of. Even if my car remains a keeper, there remains a part of me that see's it as a stepping stone towards a Z4 Alpina 3.4S (I should be so lucky!).

I wouldn't recommend removing the rear spring pad as it has a rubber cone which centralises the spring. Without the pad you may find the spring rattles around and has more potential to fall out... :| You can purchase different thickness pads, check what width your pads are and look on www.real-oem.c...

I imagine your correct, i.e. the difference is made up by the chrome ring.

The trouble with a CCFL retrofit into the OEM headlights is that the rings are perfectly circular, whereas the headlight isn't (it's a circle with the top and bottom cut off!).

I have these part numbers, but note that I couldn't retrieve the exact numbers for the Z3, instead these are from an equivalent E36 - which is close enough for me!
