I am using Castrol TXT Softec LL01 and now changing every 18 - 24 months as my mileage is not what it used to be but I do fit a new filter at each oil change, if you check the underside of the oil filler cap it is a reasonably good guide as to the rest of the engine but will always be a little clean...

Seat Belts stuck

My passenger side seat belt has decided that it doesn't want to retract, it is fully extended, I have tried a few friendly taps but it won't free itself, has anyone experienced this.

If you can change the sound by varying the load then it has to be in the Diff , I would think most make some sort of noise, providing no bits of metal are found in the old oil and not too much backlash is found I would not worry too much unless it gets noticeably worse, what it boil down to is that ...

Just had rear tyres replaced at 37000 kilometres, due to canvas showing and hanging out on inside edge [left rear was very bad] dealer said geometry was ok and that it is just the way the Z3 is set up ?
Does this make sense?

The BMW kit comes with a cleaner which I use just prior to proofing, the hood material is Mohair I believe, the fact that it is coloured at manufacture means that chemicals have been applied right from the start so I wouldn’t worry about spoiling the nature of the original material, if it is not bea...

I was happy with my wiper operation until I read this thread now I am apprehensive, mine seem to work perfectly either moving or stationary the only time they stop is if I leave them going when the screen is dry then the extra resistance kicks in and they stop which is what was intended.

If the battery is in good condition and fully charged it should last for many weeks as only the clock will be drawing power, I very much doubt if the small amount of driving 30min and 40min with a start in between would be enough to give the battery a decent charge from flat, see how it goes after y...
