It would be best to cut it somwhere inside the boot and then just use insulated inline bullet type crimps from Maplin or RS, leave your self as much spare cable as you can when you cut. BMW do a repair loom as this cable is prone to breaking at the hinge point but it is expensive and appears to have...

So that is what that red blob means :idea:

I saw a Z3MR a while back on Ebay and the picture showed the clocks and mileage with the engine running and there was indeed a red blob in the LED display. I wondered what that was as there is no mention in the owners manual.

Hi Adam, See hear, it's a matter of just coaxing the instrument cluster forward once you have undone the two screws, it is tight. Be careful not to scratch any of the plastic as you pull. There is just enough room to get at the bulbs http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10809&highlight...

Yes slide the light fitting forward against the pressure of the spring clip, then with your nails pull the back edge away from the bumper. They are a little tricky if not been out for a while, the crud glues them to the bumper. It does help if you stand on one leg and rub your tummy with the other s...

Is the water temperature gauge reading ok i.e. straight up 12 oclock when engine is up to normal operating temp?

I am going to replace all the bolts which hold the liners in at the same time as they are only pence and have had 10 years of hell :P

They both usually have a different length of wire on them to make them reach the connector. They can be bought from the dealer or from any good car parts supplier. If you need the BMW cat number put the last 7 digits of your VIN number into Realoem.com and then have a look at brakes front and brakes...

Try disconnecting them one at a time from their plug coupler end which is fastened to the inner wing (not to the brake pad), you should find which one is faulty (fault should clear) and then replace it. There should be two, one on the front (passenger side I think) and one on the rear (drivers side)...

New pads don't come with sensors they are additional, they don't always need to be replaced. However they do get brittle over time with the heat, so when you remove then from the old pads they tend to break.
I assume you have refitted the old sensors into the new pads?

Yeah my outer sill covers have suffered on the front edges due to stones and water etc, need to sort it out over the winter. Are the nuts you mean on the rubber buffers which hold the power steering pipes in front of the radiator (one on the bonnet slam plate and one to the left?) Just replaced mine...

I think the fuel filter should be replaced on an inspection 2, however the indy might not have done it so def worth replacing along with plugs.
Like Gary says sounds like a sensor to me.

Yes the connector on the drivers from is the ABS Sensor the passenger side has the brake pad wear sensor too. You should be able to get the nuts and bolts you need, make a list and take it with you as they don't always like looking that much. I have bought the white nylon nuts fairly recently. Ok he...

I've been looking at a few but the ZM has the 3.5" MAF and most of the CAI kits I have seen need an adaptor of some kind to go from 3" to 3.5"
