Mine had a hesitation/flat spot at 1000/1500rpm was thinking it may need plugs, but then it dropped to two lights so i gave it a service and reset the lights and bingo :D no flat spot.

I saw a small shot of some blue dial faces from Hamonn in a Z with blue dash top and it looked cool, so got some from Lockwood to try but did'nt quite look the same :( also did'nt like the fact that you had to remove the original faces so no going back if you did'nt like the result :head:

Ordered her in March 1999 and bought a 97 1.9 while we were waiting for her to be delivered which happened on the 1st of September :D now has 13,000 very sunny miles with no major probs.

Sevice Light Reset.

All last year i had this irritating hesitation/misfire around 1500/2000rpm(3 green lights) well just dropped to 2 lights so gave it a service yesterday and reset the service lights,and bingo no misfire/hesitation runs a dream :D moral is reset lights at three.

I always shop round when i get the renewal but nobody could beat Elephant, i'm 43 with 6years NCD protected, £250 excess, £270 on 99 2 litre garaged. I think the on-line companies are been more competitive at renewal time to keep your business.

I've looked into this, i bought some blue dial face's but to fit them it involved removing the original face's so hav'nt fitted them but one other problem was that the orange illumination is in the dial face's not the bulbs and the replacement faces were clear so the bulbs would need to be coloured ...

Had my 99 2.0 since new and I'm only going on what the computer say's average 24/28mpg. I've tried Optimax and Esso Ultima and found little improvement but find it much more lively on super unleaded.

The often overlooked 2 litre

I've had one since new in 1999 and I had a 1.9 16v before that and yes performance wise there's not much in it but the way it does it :D the sound, the smoothness plus the better looks of the wider body.

Service, repair cost's are the same as other sixes.

I only live 5 Min's from work so walk and the rest of the time use the wife's car if it's raining so 12000 miles on the Z in 5 years but every one was sunny :D after all its a open top sports car so i drive it as such.
