I also get a chattering noise inside the car. Mine comes from the passenger seat every time my right foot slips and the car goes over seventy mph!

Er... I suspect you may need some reference there sir. Would it be with respect to the cam drive gear, TDC, or valve overlap etc. Maybe a MAF reference level input may be needed. I personally don't think it's a static parameter. Very interesting question though, I would love to know the answer. Rega...

In answer to the op question. Use the normal 30mm lower road springs and insert the 5mm OEM spring pad part no: 33 53 1 136 385 Theoretically this should be the fix but you can sure that, after spring settle etc., there will be some error. For the life of me I am unable to see why 5mm either way can...

Aah... So what you're saying is that a manufacturer of high performance cars (and sports cars), ie BMW, with Audi, Mercedes and VW as direct competition, would not be fussed if the output of their engines was up to (in some cases) 20% low, even though they had developed electronic engine timing and ...

You should be aware that the 'cheap' camshaft sensors that are around have a strong history of being poor quality. Many would advise you to bite the bullet and to purchase an OEM part from the stealer. Get them to provide the part number (part is then returnable). Price a short while ago was about £...

Just my two cents... I suspect you may get a quicker result by removing the black connector body and (with luck) find the 'spade' still part on the pin of the socket. The bit that should be in the hole is on the end of the wire so all the holes will be empty! Just push the wire through the correct h...

Before you rush out to spend your cash there is another simple test you can try. Change the coil pack to another cylinder and see if the fault shifts with it. If not then there still remains the possibility of a faulty plug. As JT suggests above, a diagnostic scanner can be really useful. Hope this ...

Hi Sapper0, welcome to the forum. There should not be 'play' in the ball joints and if any exists then replace the wishbone asap.
