Re: Alarm fob problems
The buttons on the standard Z3 key operate little 'membranes' which in reality are saucer shaped dimples formed into a plastic sheet. It's the action of the buttons on the key which makes the membranes click - not anything mechanical connected to the button. As the electronics are pretty robust, it'...

Well, I've always been concerned enough for blind spots to take my mirrors positions seriously - but, when I read this I realised I had my set up all wrong. So, earlier today I got the Zed out of the garage - moved the mirrors as instructed - and by god it works! I'm pretty pleased (well, easily ple...

A colleague/friend of mine has just joined the Z3 fold, although (and hopefully he won't join and see this yet!) one could describe him as something of a technophobe, so persuading him to join this forum could take me some time. Re: Z3 Zedders in West Sussex?
We're getting some response at last.
So far we have:
John1950
Tilly
Bonzo
cn55
SRA5040
Three or four more would make it a decent event. Once we have them we can decide from the pubs suggested.
I'm looking forward to it.

Yes - bubble wrap is only a temporary bodge. I just cut a piece of rubber to the correct size, and glued it on with Evo-Stick impact adhesive, which is still there after about ten years. It's interesting this discussion about the damper masses. I'm beginning to wonder if any of the knocks and sound...

In theory they make the car feel more rigid - though how I cannot imagine. When their rubber buffers fall off, and they make a clamging noise, most BMW Dealers wrap them in bubble wrap! But wouldn't the bubbles suffer a couple of problems: 1. Bursting after repeated contact with the car body 2. Age...

Over the weekend as I was doing some polishing and cleaning of the Zed, I decided to take out the grotty and rusted spare wheel out and store it in the garage.
