HELP! Electric hood stopped working
Can anyone help solve this problem: I was about to open the hood earlier today but pressed the "close" switch instead of the "Open"switch - but only for about one second. I immediately tried to carry on and open the hood but it was dead. I tried switching off the engine, waiting ...

Hi John, just figured out on Flickr where it posts the image link... 1. Right-click on the photo from your library, and choose the size you want 2. Right-click on the photo (again) and select properties 3. You should then see a Address (URL) in the form of - http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5307/5662...

Yes - and very snazzy too. Someone gave me a snippet of HTML coding to replace the link I had before - all I need now is to find out how he did it and do the same for the other link! - It's only a close up of my snazzy wheels (well I think they're snazzy)GazHyde wrote:You now have 1 picture showing!

Broken seat belt guide
The passenger seat belt guide is broken on my new pride and joy. On Ebay, I've seen these 'sleeves which go over the open ends and stabilise the thing - but I'm next to skint. Has anyone here got one they would like to get rid off?
If so, please give me a call to discuss it.
Thanks

It depends how deeply you have scratched the plastic. The logic is to get rid of any scratch you must remove enough of the surface to get below the level of the scratch. There are 2 types of scratch remover. The first is the safest to use but is a cheat in that the scratch is not actually removed b...

Headlights - hazy scratches on the 'glass'
I got my Z3 only in March. Recently while I was washing it I thought I'd quickly rub over the headlights with a green 'Scotchguard' type cloth to remove insects etc. I thought it was glass, but I wasn't impressed to quickly realise it was plastic. I've now got a 'haze' of scratches across the front ...

I've never really understood this thing about the tyre in danger of exploding when being held by a passenger. Surely, if the tyre is inflated, it doesnt need to be taken off in the first place. If, for some unlikely reason, you take off an inflated tyre, then it can easily be deflated by inserting ...

The Skinny Spare Wheel
My Zed like all of them has a skinny 'get you home' type spare wheel underneath the rear end. However, I've fitted 18" wheels and low profile tyres to keep within the 2% or so size difference recommended. Can I still use that spare if necessary? Because if not I imagine I might as well remove it?

Under the bonnet of my newly acquired Z3 I found a yellow plastic electrics connector and 'thing' with what looks like a thin (3 mm diam) metal tube sealed at the end sticking out of it (about an inch long). It was simply lying loose near the offside headlight with a length of electrical lead. Would...

Re: Piss poor MPG
The tank by the way, if you've bothered to read the Owner's Manual is 51 litres or 13.5 gallons. That's in US Gallons - UK gallons it equates to 11.2 (double checked on two different conversion tools). Well done that man - I'd assumed UK gallons because of it being a European company - but as we al...

I gave up reading these about one third of the way down - but some figures I've a 2.8 roadster and get 28/29 MPG if I drive carefully around town and journeys of 50/60 miles. One of the members has phoned me to talk about a key without the remote opening/central locking which apparently BMW do for £43 - so in other words, they charge £100 or so just to have the facility of opening/central locking.
