Sounds like Ettingdon Chase - the home of the annual TVR Griff Growl.

I am sure Jamal will be along shortly to confirm ... it has a large car park which isnt visible from the main road

Ian My last inspection and cam belt service (4 years ago) was £320 which is a good benchmark for your service last year. I was anticipating about £450. The irony is that the car is relatively simple to service (doors excluded !) so I can only assumed the main dealers shy away from it due to unfamili...

No ... both dealers were further north. One of them did however recommended a reasonably local independent BMW service specialist. Your earlier independent suggestion will be the fall back position (£600) but I would prefer to avoid a 250 mile round trip.

That look ugly, and expensive ! I assume this is caused by the aging of the materials reducing flexibility. The Z1 was not sold. At £15k bid the purchase price would have been just over £17k. The seats were an old modification given the wear on the drivers seat bolster. The Z1 purists would wince but in the absence of new material the original yellow trim would have been difficult to repair. The car had b...

Another vote for Toyo T1R tyres. I dont have them fitted to the Z1 but the TVR Griffith as the front wheels are 16 inch (rears 17 Inch). The side walls are supposedly softer than the premium brand sports tyres which gives an improved ride but not so sharp handling at the limits of adhesion so you ma...

Agreed, the premium pricing for a Z1 with less than 10k miles will rapidly disappear if it is used.

The tread pattern of the tyres suggests the car still on its original Pirellis, if so add another #600 to the purchase cost for replacements.
