Welcome to the forum. :wave I bought my midlife crisis 16 months ago, and still feel like I'm having! No other car I have driven has put as big a smile on my face. Hope you enjoy it as much. The wheel colour thing will always provoke comment, but as said its your car. If you are any good with a comp...

You will find a bloody good clean will bring it closer to black again. If you want to get it black as coal, then you will need to dye it. The Autoglym 2 stage clean and proof does a good job for cleaning (use it twice now). Best thing for getting rid of mould/green etc is Milton (not tried this pers...

Hi Titan, Wondering if you have considered seeing if you can get different coloured material yet to make these? It may not be possible, or too expensive but I would certainly buy a set which were a more subtle contrast against silver. Silver would look great against, er, silver! (I have a mate with ...

I do keep looking at Sparco / Corbeau seats (Recaro's are just far too expensive) and just get the setup that I'd like... Save a few KG's too, but I do wonder what the resale impact would be without the stock seats? I've upgraded my car to ///M seats but kept the original seats, and they will be re...

I think yours looks a great price, but the market appears to be a bit flat at the moment. On second look, and seeing your post for interior bits I think you have an ///M Coupe interior fitted in your car. You don't have seatbelt guides, as you don't need them in the coupe. A decent full ///M interior is worth a good deal of cash. I paid £600 for a set of black coupe seats and door cards ...

Re: lock
As can be seen on the bootlid around the lock on my car it's just starting to bubble under the paint...Titan wrote:This compromised the galvanising and rustproofing around the resulting orifice and is the cause of the blistering that can be seen around many such boot lids.

Run some Shell fuel through it if you have one near you. I tend to use my local Total fuel station, as that seems as good as any right now (and they are cheapest in the area) I stay away from supermarket fuel personally, and take the hit on price. Had some really crappy tanks of fuel from Sainsburys...

From memory it's 3 jubilee clips and a lot of wiggling. Didn't take any more than 10-15 minutes to do, and it's a reasonably cheap part too from BMW - mine cost £9.51 at the time...
