Jons right so its whether you fancy having the holes in the bootlid although you can get the blanking plates for when its removed, don't know how easy these are to get these days. Just because the fault is intermittent don't rule out the Cam Sensor. Mine misbehaved for about 2 years before it finally got to the point where it would manifest on most warm starts.

That's a good fix and it will make it easier to get the bootlid off if you need to. I thought the same thing, but let's hope I never need to remove it. There seems to be a pre & post facelift thing going on here. I have wide ones to the outside *2 and a narrow one to the inside *1. The two outside switches are Roof & HRS with the inner one being the Alarm LED. Rob's is a pre-facelift and mine is post so whilst the part numbers for the wider...
