Yep, checked the main fuse box.

They all seemed to be fine apart from number 19, which I'm fairly sure is for the wing mirrors.

Is there a fuse in the small black plastic housing that leads from the headlight connection?

Well, I managed to replace the lightbulb following the advice above but the light still isn't working.

Not being too mechanically minded, would anyone have any suggestions as to what might be wrong?

I was trying to replace one of the front lightbulbs at the weekend. Can anyone tell me the secret to removing the plastic cover at the back of the light unit? I've released the metal spring clip but cannot work out how to release the rear housing from it's two fixing points. Anyone know what type of...

The missing piece!

He not only has the buttons next to the window switches to operate the doors he also can do it remotely via a key fob. I'm not sure what time the Gaydon event starts but I reckon it's probably couple of hours to get there?

I have to say that if you look closely, the driver cockpit area is remarkably intact. Which is more than can be said for the rest of the car!
Especially the driver's door which looks relatively untouched.

Who in their right mind does 200 kph on a test drive?! :roll:

I was trying to think of somewhere central, on the way, that would be easy to meet up.

There is a fairly large BP petrol station on the A40 somewhere around Perivale.

Here's the map of roughly where it is.

Open to any other suggestions of course!!

I couldn't agree more! Valentino Rossi is a legend and a genius on 2 wheels. I have a couple of motorbikes and watching these guys always makes me want to go out for a blast afterwards! Do you ride bikes Jet? We must meet up sometime! Hopefully still going to Gaydon so maybe a Z1 convoy can be arran...

I had the same experience a while back. There was a constant flow of hot air coming from just below the steering wheel. It turned out to be a rubber gromit/washer from around the steering column that had come loose letting in all the hot air from the engine bay. Not sure if this is the same problem ...

Welcome to the forum JPT. I had three separate people ask me what happened to my doors at the weekend! I pulled up next to one guy at the lights (funnily enough also on the A406 in North London) and he leaned out of window as said "So sorry about your door....will it be expensive to fix?" ...

I showed them how it worked but he still told me to close them when driving! :evil:

I too was looking into the Pioneer for my Z1. I hadn't even thought about the screen blocking the air vents! :dunce:

Thought I'd take a couple of photos of my car with the Weismann hardtop on before I put it away for the summer. 8-)

Someone mentioned, in another thread, that there were two different models of hardtop. I have no idea which mine is but I have taken a photo of the inside.

I have a Weismann hardtop on my car. It has the padded leather interior but no sound system extras or lights.

I have had exactly the same problem with my fuse blowing every time I try to move the mirrors via the switch.

The BMW dealer spent half and hour trying to find the cause but to no avail.

I've just lived with it for the last 4 years!

Nice photos! I have the Weismann Hardtop too on my Z1. I think it's one of the few hardtops that actually make the car look better. Monaco in one day huh? I drove mine down to the South of France in one day and all I can say is....take a nice comfy cushion! Backside was completely dead after 15 hour...
