Re: Z3 Rough start up and idle.
oh just read your whole post, you need to fix it before changing the oil (see my post) at first I thought it might be sticking lifters or something related in that department as with an oil change it goes away, are the lifters hydraulic?

Re: Z3 Rough start up and idle.
mine suffers the same issue, if I change the oil it goes away just to return a month or so later, it disappears in the summer. I just live with it, though a cure would be great, inpa doesn't show anything but it does show in engine smoothness mode, it misses on a couple of cylinder, but it clears af...

Re: Hood with glass window?
I fail to see the point in this, maybe its just me. I have had a split rear screen, and a leaky rear screen, yes its annoying but its a convertible, what did you all expect  all soft tops will at some point need attention, but driving with the top down more than makes up for it. a lot of driver...

best leaky rear window fix
I fitted a cheaper aftermarket rear window a couple of years ago, the problem is the window outer trim (the part the hood tucks under) is made of a plastic that creases when the roof is down. this causes the roof to come out of the trim then leak in the bottom two corners. I had this problem for 12 ...

Re: low fuel
never risked going over 60 miles, most fuel tanks have a 2 gallon reserve when light comes on, I would think around 70 miles would be as far as you could go, though I have been tempted to put a gallon in a fuel can and see how far it would actually go. checked all codes, the only code I get is from ...

maybe the asc was sheer coincidence, seems odd that it would go out after a fill up, twice. but then the petrol station is only a couple of hundred yards from my house so it is possible it would have gone out anyway. so wonder why it came on in the first instance then go out again :?: also odd that ...

yes I know, I should keep more fuel in my z, but im stingy. when my fuel light comes on I press the odometer back to 0 and continue driving, I unusually fill up again after around 40 miles or so. however on two occasions I did run a little further (around 50-60 miles) by this point the fuel needle h...

yes its legal (technically) however it could also be argued that when the tyre is fitted to the car the whole tyre isn't getting used hence the scrubbing, so it could be argued that your driving on the bold side of the tyre. this would be difficult to prove but if you annoyed plod enough they may ta...
