Surely the easiest way to see whether the mirror units are likely to work between RHD and LHD is to sit in your passenger seat and test whether your original mirrors would work to a LHD car... I guess the principle would be the reverse for LHD mirrors on a RHD car. Why would you need too? The bodie...

Well done EMEK, I've asked if he posted to the UK. Is LHD and RHD different for mirrors? Cheers The glass may be different, but the bodies have the same part number. Part 51162695143 (LEFT PRIMED EL.EXTERIOR HEATABLE MIRROR) was found on the following Z3 vehicles: Z3 Z3 M Coupé, S50, Europe (CM91) ...

I've been reading the Bimmer forum, I have spotted that Carsoft has a Hardware component, which I dont have . Is this correct? Tried INPA installation as per estock thread, no go there either. Im trying to see if my laptop can even speak to my car at all. As nothing seems to work, no matter how man...

Perhaps you should call the dealer you are going to order the cable from. It doesn't seem abundantly clear which one you should order.
Tell them you want the per tensioner repair cable and let them do the hard work.
If you do ever find the part number, the parts are often cheaper here.

It seems to go to the bottom of the bit you plug your belt into, rather than into the horizontal cylindrical barrel of the pretensioner. Seat belt detector then. Should be plugged in if there is a socket for it. There is another wire going from the cylinder into the bottom of the seat - that one's ...

Driver's seat belt pretensioner wiring has failed. The connector falls apart at the tensioner. It is a common fault to the point that there is a wiring repair kit for £15-20. It may require you to solder two wires as it may replace/bypass the main seat connector too. Part numbers here . Use a genero...

Re: Digital
Sorry Estocks, but the digital fuel readout uses the same sensor as the guage! Look at a wiring diagram and you will see. As an example, when my guage sensor gives up completely, and the indicated level falls to zero, so does the digital readout. The pressure sensor is a requirement only for the US...

The switches can fail. Getting the seat out when they have done is a bitch. You may need to short wires together to shift the seat to access the bolts. Check with your multimeter to ensure your seats have power. The wiring diagram is here.

First, do a battery off reset, taking car to let the nav shut down (red light goes off) if it is a MK3. If you don't the memory could be irrepairably corrupted during a flash write (red light flashing). Next, if that does not solve your problem, enter the service mode , usually done by holding down ...

Those are one of the cheapest looking speaker I've ever seen. For reference, here's what a good quality 100mm speaker looks like. Large magnet, solid basket and surround, large rubber suspension for increased excursion. Sadly they won't fit in the Z3. http://shop.audioimages.co.uk/images/Focal_100CV...

Hang on, I used rain-ex on a Morris Minor on historic rallies for years, my impression was the stuff never lasted long enough... even with the itty-bitty wipers it needed a fresh application for every event (about every 1000 miles) if you don't like it, just wait and it will soon be gone! +1 I find...
