Re: Z3M for sale (not mine, but wish it was!!!!)
Great wheels but the rear mudflaps spoil the whole look of the car for me and the wheels are in desperate need of some spacers- especially at the back- so for those reasons and a deficit of around £10,000, I'm out!

Here is the sellers response to some of the concerns raised; Dear Peter, Thanks for your email. As you say, i have heard it all before. The guy is correct if buying for stopping fuel gumming/going stale in the system, an in-line unit will only stop this, if it is an injection system. It won’t with C...

Removal of Hard Top/ fitting kit
I have removed my hard top so I can sell it however I now understand that I also need to sell the fitting kit currently fitted to my car for it to appeal to anyone. My question is how easy is it to remove the fitting kit and will it leave anything exposed that will need additional blanking plates et...

Thanks Mike. I am getting all of the bushes etc checked next week but the fact that you have had to fit several braces, revised dampers and springs goes a long way to proving my point- the standard car of 14 years ago was not a good handler and therefore these things have to be fitted to bring it up...

I got my wheel wax from Halfords- they only had one can and I haven't seen any there since and the body wax I got off the tinternet- E-bay I think from memory - couldn't find it anywhere. I think Amazon does it too. Good luck.

Re: armorall wax and wheel sheilds
On the wheels you are not meant to touch it. I did not find that it left a satin finish although my wheels are not coloured like yours. If you use the body work wax- which I rate very highly- more so than the wheel one- you can buff it up after but again it does not seem to leave a nice creamy finis...

Re: restoring the old girl
looks a great bargain. If you are going to sell it why not sell the private plate and hard top separately. The sale price of the car will cover your outgoings- the top and plate will be your profit. I don't think either will add much to the price of the car if sold as one.

After a few "spirited" drives I've decided that my 2.8 handling leaves a lot to be desired. Its only got 50,000 miles on it so I suspect it is down to the original spec of the car rather than lots of worn components. I also appreciate that these cars were not designed as the "ultimate...

Why not just use stick on vinyl cut to shape? Why bother with the magnetic stuff. I have to say I had the magnetic guards on my last Zed and there was quite a lot of muck under them when I took them off... will probably use them again but will remove regularly to clean from now on.

from memory the accelerator pedal on the 98 was set too high next to the brake pedal so when the brake was depressed you would of had to dislocate your ankle to "blip" the throttle but on the 99 the pedals are almost level when the brake is depressed - still a little too high to be ideally...
