Initial hardtop fitting
On the BMW instructions for the hardtop fitting, it calls for a mounting gauge (part no 54 21 9 408 881). As these are no longer available, does anyone know their dimensions? It can obviously be fitted without using this but it would be good to know the correct fitting.

I have always stuck with the original equipment Dunlops and found them excellent although others on here swear by Falkens. maybe it is not your tyres causing your problems.

This is quite a common BMW problem and is usually fixed by applying a bit of power. It happens more frequently on my E30 although it has occurred on the Zed.

Re: Chrome kidney/side grills? (Opinions)
It is very much a case of personal opinion, before I bought my Zed, I definitely didn't like the chrome ones but the car I found which was perfect in every other way had them. I soon got used to them and quite liked them but still was not sure so I bought another pair and painted them to match the c...

The edge of the fabric tends to come away from the rubber seal and just needs tucking back in. New windows come with a thin strip of double sided tape and you can cut a thin strip from a roll and use.

Re: BMW Z3 2.2 M Sport upgrades advice
As far as the handbrake is concerned, the pads have nothing to do with the handbrake. The handbrake operates using small brake shoes which are inside the drum which is part of the rear discs. All BMWs use this system and it is quite good. To adjust you jack up the rear wheel, remove one wheel nut an...

These comprehensive sets are all very good but do they have all the obscure fastener tools which BMW and others use now such as torx bits etc. you end up with a lot of tools you never use and short of some essentials.

According to my handbook, the spare should be T115/90 R 16 92 M so it looks as though yours is an inch too small. It woud still get you out of trouble though in an emergency though.
