Thanks Adam
We're all gonna miss your reports, but so thrilled you had the pleasure of the roadster experience. We're all (mostly) hooked. Let us know what happens at the end of the month, unless we read the front page; "BMW Service Manager Killed in I-Drive incident" Sounds more than likely to me. If...

so much work and only 1 normal service! Glad to hear your enjoying yourself so much - what a great opportunity. Takes me back to being an apprentice (Halton airframes & propulsion) engineer in the RAF, they wouldn't let me near the helicopters for real for at least a couple of weeks - after 3 ye...

is the worst area in Britain for feds.
They have zillions of mobile cameras, helicopters (yes really) and a very 'safety conscious' chief of police.

So how are you fixed for 4th & 5th September? Again, it will be a 'spirited' weekend, so please, if you're not a 'natural dawn raider' enjoy the last of the autumn sunshine in the garden. 8-) Location - Yorks & Lincs. Models/Marques not an issue. Nice people essential. Let me know if...

Any more details Spoke Doggy man?
Lorraine, it's about 120 miles from us, so 170 from you down the A1 basically. Nice open flat corners (so you can see round some of them) in some parts. How's the new job?

Valeting
Have been speaking to a very nice man, who can bring 2 mobile valeting vehicles to the KCH for you all to benefit from if you wish. I'm not really one for the show and shine stuff, but I think that to get the car cleaned before each days adventures is a good idea. We'll be using the rear car park - ...

Tramlining
As I said, I think the SO3 is a much stiffer construction, so it's not going to get softer and less tramliney with age, but if you run your pressures a little lower (2 or 3 psi) I'd guess you'd see an improvement. This area is the biggest difference between them and the F1's though, so if you're not...

Confusing
New Pilot is rated by some Journo's as is Pirelli as well as the venerable SO3 & F1, plus Simon S also liked his Toyo Proxes!

Under Pressure
So the fronts were about 22 and the left rear was 25. Only 1 tyre with a reasonable 30 psi. Gone for 30 front and 32 rear and that's answered the sloppy sidewall issue, though it still aint nowhere near the same stiffness as the SO3. Eveything feels better with these pressures and the tramlini...

Eagle F1 vs SO3's
Thought that'd get you attention. 8) Well, after an amazing piece of good fortune, I've now been able to back to back test the above. The new tyres (F1's) are 255/30ZR18 Rear and 235/35ZR18 Front and the SO3's were 225/45ZR17 Front and 245/40ZR17 Rear. Initial impressions are that the F1's have a mu...
