This topic's been around for a while  Thanks for the comments, but 'cos we use the car on the roads for lots of other fun stuff, we don't want a roller skate - we'd have got a caterham/westfield for that. To be honest, the car wasn't right at Croft anyway as the dealer :dunce: had left the hair...

He's right
I've done 1/4 mile in 14.2 in my 2.8 supercharged car with the roof down (so the terminal speed was <100 due to drag). I reckon it'd crack 14, but a sub 13 car is very quick. I was beating lots of standard R33's, Evo's, Scoobies and the only stuff that was quicker in the 'Super Touring' group (modde...

Car vs driver - slightly OT
Sure every one is very aware that the car is not what can or can't do the driving it's the nut behind the wheel that makes the difference. :dunce: This difference can be from slow to fast or safe to unsafe. BTW, the two sets I give as examples are not mutually exclusive IMHO, you can be a fast &...

If I were being cynical
I'd say BMW wants to increase revenue by charging franchised dealers to train the technicians. They can then allocate loads of overheads to the cost of training provided too.
