New Plate!
I've just bought me a lovely sparkling new private plate for The Zed. It was advertised by almost all the reg no. companies on the net, including the DVLA, all at pretty much the same price. Difference is that the DVLA price INCLUDES 17.5% VAT and £80 transfer fee, which is usually ADDITIONAL to the...

Door handles?
Hey all. I've got the opportunity of buying a pair of chrome door handles for The Zed at a reasonable price. Looks to me like it's a dealer job to get them fitted. Scotthalls in Ruislip just quoted me £246.75 for fitting.....OUCH! And no, that doesn't include buying the new handles! So.... Has anyon...

Purely a term of mild endearment in a 'laid-back hippie' manner used by acquaintances when parting company.

Hi Spokey. Really sorry, but me n' the wife can't do this one. We'll be returning from a week in France on that day. Perhaps it's a good thing that we're not doing this cruise. Spokey's runs are very expensive in replacement underwear! (Read that however you want.....Fnarr Fnarr.) Hope you have a br...

Underside Damage??
A query. Whilst we were out for a bit of a blast last Saturday in the Oxford - Stratford upon Avon area, the navigator (wife) picked out some really nice country lanes off the beaten track. With the roof down, the sun blazing, (and a slightly heavy right shoe  ) we enjoyed the Zed to the fu...

Re: Cloning is no myth.
Had your cousin posted photos of her car on the web? No, not to my knowledge! Over reaction? Yep, I agree. The problem is though, if I post a photo of a 'flash mob' of Zeds and someone whose car is in the picture with it's number on show to the world gets cloned, where does Zroadster.net and myself...

Cloning is no myth.
Cloning of vehicle identities is certainly NOT a myth. This happened to my cousin who is a nurse in North Wales. She started to receive penalties for non payment of London Congestion Tax which was a little strange since she'd not been further than Chester in her little hatchback! She contacted the c...

Mihart... That's exactly why you, me and everybody else on the board drives a Zed. It's a purchase from the heart. A Zed will always be impractical, expensive to buy and run, and sometimes ridiculed, but that's really not the point. No bad review, sneer from jealous friend or stranger, nor insult fr...

Lane hogs!
Simple. All it would take would be occasional signs on our motorways saying... "Keep left unless overtaking." Then there would be NO excuse of ignorance, not that that suggests innocence. Can anyone think of any road safety reason NOT to do this???? Please educate me, coz I can't think of ...

Eh?
Tetch... I can't believe you could ask such a question! Owning a roadster is SO much more than just hammering round a track. Performance is a huge part of the pleasure, obviously, but the whole ethic of two seats and roof down is all about BIG FUN at any speed. Practicality is for the OTHER ...

My SLR camera is old fashioned FILM which, if you can remember your history, needs to be developed. It's in the wording!
Would suggest it depends on the way you describe it! "I was keeping up with the traffic in the nearside lane when another vehicle moved from the offside lane into the nearside without checking for space and without any form of warning or indication." So whose fault is that, d'you reckon???...

Hard.
Our tap water is very hard and alkaline, but I've never noticed 'stains' on the paintwork provided I get to chamois it down before the surface water evaporates. If it does dry out, what a mess! There's so much muck in our tap water that when the H2O vaporises, the muck that's left is horrendous. Yes...

Sorry, we'd love to be there, but we'll be 'En vacance dans la France' at that time.....no, not in the Zed unfortunately.
Hope you all enjoy the doo, and please post some pics of those sparkling Zeds.

Good quote from Z4um.
'Mr Z' on Z4um has got it just right. Quote: "Speed cameras are SUPPOSED to be located in accident blackspots, therefore a detector gives you advance warning of such a blackspot." This is a very reasonable defence for the experienced conscientious driver who spends all that dosh on 'Accide...

So what's the advantage of these expensive machines over something cheaper? Maplins have an offer at the moment for a 240V 110W 3200 RPM 240mm diameter electric polisher for £9.99.
