Sounds like a bad earth some where can't see why you should get 4 volts as its a 12v system seems like another part has lost/bad earth and is using your brown

Update , fitted the bumper support to get the front parts of the chassis aligned ,1/2way through welding run out of light, to dark, should Finnish by Sunday then try to fit the outer part of the bumper that I finished painting yesterday, I'm getting a bit exited now

I pay about £120 any car as I have 3 at the moment plus. It covers me for any car I'm in had a problem last year as the car I neededhalelp with was over 10 years old they told me the didnt cover cars that old

Hi its a z3 2.2 y reg, got all the bits now just a bit more welding on the front chassis rails , MOT + Vic check then brum brum, there is a chspvin Worcester who is making a kobra he has all the panels - bonnet, chech ebay for the parts

i have the same ,needed a rad , 2 head lights, i managed to repair the bumper but had to get the reinforce backing, slam panel, just straightening the front chassis rails, nice 2nd hand bonnet due soon so far it's cost £190 + bonnet so far, most parts i got from a chap in Brum

For re dyeing I've used spirit dye with good results on leather saddles when I was in the trade you can get it from Abbey Saddlery Supplies @Knutsford Cheshire

On Most seats the leather s held onto the frame by hog rings they are small rings new they are like a C you use things called hog pliers to replace them, I recovered some seats for a lotus a few years ago, wish I had kept my old sewing machine
