Catalyst Falling to Bits - Help

Hi, just had the pain of the cat deciding to start to disintigrate so it needs to be replaced. As is was a very wet and rainy I went to borrow the local kwik-flit ramps to have a look under the car. not bracket problems and the cat rattles like a bag of spanners when poked. I agree its usually the owners who are the problem not the dogs. When I came back from living in Nigeria I brought the the two big dogs I had there with me. An Alsation bitch and a black "disting" labrador type. Both had been conditioned there by past owners to provide protection against t...

Alfie, Thanks. I checked on the web and ZA does stand for South Africa. If the column is destination I guess my car never actually got there then. South Africa officially drives on the Left with RHD cars so it seems to fit. My experience, however, is south africans tend to drive in the shadier side ...

Has anyone had the problem of the black trim around the front window getting stretched and creased at the top corners of the window. Sorry to hear you are having to stay in Crawley. Its worse than they say, believe me. Make sure you park in the hotel carpark under the lighting. Plenty of chavs in various areas late at night. I had the same issue. Basically it was that the sensor also gets screwed when the pad wear is sufficient to activate it. I was advised to always change the sensor at the same time as the pads and they are pretty cheap anyhow and just plug in. You also might inspect the ABS sensor for wear at the sam...

horses for courses

I agree with Shminky as I have a 1991 MX5 1.6 and a '99 2.8 Z3.
Z3 for longer runs as its far more comfortable.
MX-5 for the twisty stuff as its like a gokart round the bends.

I have a rack bolted into the boot. Possible to mount a bike on it but only lying it on its side. Anything else produces too much front/back twist that as you say tries to rip the rack off the boot. Would not recommend it. You need to keep the centre of gravity of the bike low to avoid the twisting ...

cracks like you suggest never really mend well. A new screen is inevitable.
