It's not speed that's the major issue for me
as we acknowledge, the two second rule is a good general guide, but to think that 70 is safe carte blanch is not good. We should drive appropriate to the prevailing conditions, including traffic. Just 'cos we've got ABS/DSC/CBC etc, doesn't mean that if the guy/lady in front slams on that you...

See both sides here Gary/Muffles
and Gary you know my style, but I too see idiots doing what muffles is saying, usually in vans that then can't do more than 70 when the road ahead clears, so you're then stuck behind them for 10 minutes etc. after they've just undertaken and forced their way into your safety gap in front. BTW, just ...

Std BMW button
you describe is Cruise Control 'resume' button.
There should've been an I/O button to switch it on and off and +/- buttons for speed control.
Any of these sound familiar?
The BMW 1 is launched 19th Sept BTW.

which for you spokey is always a possibility, so long as you can afford it? :o On this occasion, the apron was worth about 40-50 bhp as I had found the stealer had not connected the air conditioning unit up to the replacement throttle body correctly. Phil & Bryn will bear witness after the after...

Brand new F1 on rear today
and a few weeks ago new fronts too (see toasted tyres).
New F1's no problems at all Bart.
Stick with it, just check your pressure are correct as the fitters may have left over inflated after seating the beads????
Should be just fine in the 'Valley of John'.

So a torque limiting device has been detected after Hockenheim and the team have been penalised. Explains a few things eh?
