I suspect bmw have them in stock for a few pence but you could probably use a tap washer and some loctite if you cant find the proper part

I clean mine with milton fluid and a brush then spray with tent waterproofer from halfords to make the rain bead away

T-reg started 1st March 1999, so not all T-regs will be facelifts (mine isn't). Build date is more accurate, though simply looking at the rear of the car is easiest - curvy arse = facelift. It will not fit you car, Peter. Hole in your dash is the wrong shape and it has a different connector. Cheers...

Facelift was april 1999 (T reg) - yours will be later than this (build date will be on one of your front turrets under the bonnet.

....here are a few further updates... I was asked about some of the other leather pieces that are available and here are the 2 pieces that cover the steering shroud - they are in 2 perfect pieces just like the shroud itself and are fairly easier to glue direct to the plastic.. http://i42.photobucket...

The switches are illuminated in the same way as the heater controls and ashtray, so might be that. Check the wiring diagram to be sure - wiring colours are given.
