I managed to get there just in time for lunch :D I'd managed to do 345 miles by that time  The afternoon session was made up of good roads in typical Spokey style. Some of us stopped for petrol on the way home only to be gloated at by a certain diesel driver who had 260 miles left on his fue...

Just been back through 4 or 5 old posts and finally managed to find the diagram on Real OEM. so will get 1 x spray nozzle, 1 x valve F, 5 expanding rivets so I can peel back the whole corner of the soundproofing and 3 x hose clamps as recommended by Bloke as a) probably won't be re- us...

As alfie says above, the bonnet sensor is the common culprit. I had mine changed on my 2.0ltr 2000 Z3. In the end , they changed the whole alarm system as the controller was faulty. this seemed to cure it. I just think that the system is a bit suspect. There is also a sensor behind the stereo, and t...

Personally, I would ask them kindly to appeal for BMW good will on the wheels, they know that they are generally dodgy, I had a set changed for the same corrosion, albeit inside the warranty period. Just ask nicely. I recently has a wheel bearing fixex 5 months out of warranty, under good will, I ha...

Re: new tyers... almost there!!!
All, after a particularly sh*ity drive home last night on the M8 (once hailed as the worst motorway in Europe) I've decided that the run flats must go. So far I have: 1. checked its OK with the insurance people 2. Check with BMW it does not affect the approved used warranty (see section 6.5) 3. Got...

Re: Alloy wheel warranty
Watcha folks, Just bought a 3.0i Z4 on a 54 plate, and noticed some scarring on front alloys. We took out a years extended warranty, but is this sort of thing covered? Any advice gratefully received. Ta. Generally it depends on a few things. 1. how the damage is caused 2. what type of wheel you hav...

I think you will find this is more to do with the fancy fonts that you can not read. Mine has 1 space, and I have had police behind me and not had a problem. As long as the fonts are standatd, and not over spaced, I think it will be ok. I always carry a spare set in the boot, so if I do get stopped...

Hi Mate, I live just round the corner from you in Shenley. 3 Points. 1. You can fix a runflat, you just need a tyre place that will do it. 2. I have non-runflats and I have tyre weld in the boot for basic punctures, that should fix a basic puncture. If you get a blow out, the runflat will not help y...

Hi Mate Unlucky on this, I had this on my 2000 Z3 2.0ltr Facelift model. It was 5/6 years old and I did have the BMW Extended Warranty and it was all covered by that. No quibble, no question,. and that was at 38,000. Admitedly I did drive the car relatively hard, but not stupidly. So I would just su...

I tried to use the Blackcircles mobile service to fit my new PS2s but they were unable to as they were not set up to support RFT tyres. This meant that they could not get my old RFT tyres off, I had to take the car to the main depot to change the tyres. So I guess the answer to your question may de...
