I managed to get there just in time for lunch :D I'd managed to do 345 miles by that time :shock: The afternoon session was made up of good roads in typical Spokey style. You will need to remove the inner lining under the bonnet, if you have one, then remove the metal clips that hold the washer part to the tubing from the water reservoir. You might be able to remove the clips without damaging them, otherwise be prepared and purchase some before.

As alfie says above, the bonnet sensor is the common culprit. I had mine changed on my 2.0ltr 2000 Z3. In the end , they changed the whole alarm system as the controller was faulty. this seemed to cure it. I just think that the system is a bit suspect. I think you will find this is more to do with the fancy fonts that you can not read. Mine has 1 space, and I have had police behind me and not had a problem. As long as the fonts are standatd, and not over spaced, I think it will be ok. I always carry a spare set in the boot, so if I do get stopped...
