A biggy is fuel... do you use supermarket fuel? as if i use this i get shocking mpg... about 180miles out of a tank. Only shell v power gets me good mpg. I average 28-32mpg running on v power. short drives will always get you bad mpg.. best ive had out of my 2.8 was 290miles out of a tank on vpower...

Mines a 2001 2.2 Sport and I do about 40 mile round trip every day, mostly on A roads with a bit motorway thrown in and get about 30 mpg using normal unleaded. Just switched to V power premium unleaded and now getting a smidgen more, so think there must be something wrong if you're only getting 20m...

She's a 2002 2.2 sport - has been seviced regularly all her life but not by me as i've only owned her a year and it's not time for the service yet. Admittedly i don't work that far from home; work travel is only a max of 15 miles each way but i do try to give her a blow regularly and MK roads mean s...

Piss poor MPG
OK, here it is, i've been driving around on this tank of fuel like an old lady thinking that it is purely my driving style that is giving me less than sterling MPG but i'm coming to the conclusion that it isn't me! I reckon i'm going to get not alot more than around 20mpg out of this tank but that's...

Not been on here for a while but i would like to add the MPG i get from the BP ultimate vs the standard unleaded is better but with the shell my car just drank through the stuff! One thing i would like to mention is my car is getting absolutely attrocious MPG at the moment, even on a run it's not go...

Milton Keynes based or near Indy BMW specalists?
Hi, haven't been on here much for a while, i'm in the middle of buying a new flat so i've been a little busy, busy in a good way though :). There are few things i want checked out, steering feels a little soft for one and was wondering where my closest Indy BMW specialist is that any of you guys wou...

Maybe parnoid - exhaust smoke
OK, here's the thing, i can't be sure if this happened or not as it was raining pretty hard today but a seed of paranoia has been put into my mind. I was on an incline waiting to get to the roundabout and maybe over revved the Zed a little but i swear, through the corner of my eye i saw a ''burst'' ...

I got it on ebay and it's more of a stubby than a beesting to be fair and it is just the aerial unit (no new base), i'm hoping it will look really good but if it doesn't......that's why i need to make sure my original aerial doesn't get damaged as it might end up having to go back on the car. If it ...

Just bought a new aerial, a stubby beesting, just wondered about taking the old aerial off. Any tips on taking it off smoothly as it doesn't seem to want to budge and i don't want to break it?

I bet that car has got a shed load of miles on it, it just has the ''feel'' of a car that's been ''used''; interior is nasty, what it needs is some deep blood red/black seats and and blood red leather fascia replacements, some schnitzer pedals/handbrake handle and a short shift gear knob, jonttt's B...

I have a late 2002 2.2 Sport, and can identify with the clutch control problem. Mine has 'fly-by-wire' throttle control and I don't like the insulated feel it gives. This is the main reason in my case why a smooth 'creep' isn't easy. My everyday car (Citroen C5) is an auto with 'fly-by-wire' everyt...
