Munich Legends overhauled mine two and a half years ago and, touch wood, they've not given any trouble since then.
But they are a long way from you.

Silver Z4M on A12
Just before Ipswich yesterday lunchtime, going like the absolute clappers, although I suspect not trying all that hard since I was able to keep up, even with the hood down. Tested the GF's headscarf though!

I have had a full black leather re-trim in my Z1 (including centre console, doors etc) and my personal view is that it looks miles better than the original trim. Plus it doesn't age or stain. Worth the money. I've seen Jet's car too, which has had the same done, but in Lemon Yellow leather, and it l...

Last 7 days? Well I was actually in the UK for part of last week, so the Z1 was dug out of hiding, relieved of its hard-top and driven. First around London and then up to Suffolk and back. With the roof down, and the doors when doing less than 50mph. Got spotted on the A12 by a friend of my flatmate...

RLE with hardtop.....god, if only it wasn't techno-purple! In fact, it's a good thing it is, otherwise I'd be straight over on the next plane to buy it!

Tony made his millions and has now ducked out to spend them, it's Gordon's turn now, when he has made his millions he also will duck out. That's not strictly accurate. Ex-PMs make their millions post-office. Did you not see the news item this week about Blair taking up a post as a political advisor...

It's horrendous. Last time I was in London a couple of weeks ago, a litre of Optimax was 113.9p from the local Shell garage, and Tesco Surrey Quays wanted 109.9p for their super stuff. The Z1s got a small tank so you don't get too stung each time, but filling the Merc from empty cost me nearly 80 qu...

Yup, t'is an E500. 326bhp V8 hidden in what looks like a Croydon minicab. Makes a lovely burble - all the more so because there is a blow on one of the rear boxes. Will make an even lovelier burble as am having a custom cat-back Powerflow system (with discrete hidden tailpipes to keep up the cover (...

...I needed a bigger car to go with the Z1 but that didn't mean it couldn't also be LHD and silly. Since I couldn't find a decent E34 M5 Touring that I liked, I've gone over to the dark side. I do feel like I should keep a pair of sawn-off shotguns on the passenger seat at all times: http://i16.phot...

^^ More or less what Bruce said. Mine's still on its original km/h clocks and reads a healthy 103,000kms so given a full service history back to year dot, I've no reason to doubt it. I don't see the replacement back box as a sign of anything other than that at some point somebody rightly thought the...

I would seriously query your assertion that 9 out of 10 people prefer lemon yellow leather to black leather. Why ? On an ur-grun Z1, there is absolutely no contest whatsoever as to which looks better :P Well then I'm that 10th person because it isn't my cup of tea at all - I wouldn't like the lemon...

Yes indeed, thats one good thing I have to say about CaroleNash, they are very efficient when things go wrong. On the flipside, I get a new looking frontend, as the bonnet, bumper and side panel get resprayed in the process, so I finally get rid of a gazillion stone chips, one less thing for me to ...

It's exactly like my car, which is also Ur Grun and also has the green dash and green carpets combined with black leather on the inner doors, sills and centre console/gearlever/handbrake. I can vouch for the Perspex, simple, rock solid design, unobtrusive, easy to fit and it works very well, Height dependant of course. Just one problem, it can be like a mirror and reflects everything passing in front of you, making you think it is coming from your blindspot. A blindspot mirror or ti...

I note that mine appears to be fitted with E36 M3 items. Hmm I presume you did that in your conversion! The E36 has 5 stud hubs, but the Z1 has 4 stud. For clarification: The rear disks (rotors) on the Z1 made for most of production are Z1 only items, they are not E36 items. The fronts are E30. NOT...
