They perhaps do not make them in the correct fitment anymore since it is not a particularly normal one. When I was looking, I found the choice of tyres was very restricted. I ended up going for Toyo Proxes, which seem better than the old Yokohamas that were on there before.

Last 7 days? Well I was actually in the UK for part of last week, so the Z1 was dug out of hiding, relieved of its hard-top and driven. First around London and then up to Suffolk and back. With the roof down, and the doors when doing less than 50mph. Got spotted on the A12 by a friend of my flatmate...

I'd pay 30k for an RLE in that apparent condition. Just not one that colour. I appreciate that others may like the colour, just as some also like Fun Gelb. Personally I couldn't have a Z1 in either shade but that's just me. And repainting a car like that wouldn't be right.

Thanks, I'm pretty chuffed with it. It's in the shop today having a custom cat-back exhaust fitted, since the current one's back boxes are on their last legs. Hopefully it will sound rather naughty when it gets back!

I would seriously query your assertion that 9 out of 10 people prefer lemon yellow leather to black leather. Why ? I can't tell what that speedo reads, but I've seen an indicated 220kph in mine on the autobahn between Freiburg and Basle. Felt remarkably steady at that speed - more so than my Alfa.

I'd agree that the gauge looks cold - mine tends to sit bolt upright and rarely deviates from that.

I note that mine appears to be fitted with E36 M3 items. Hmm I presume you did that in your conversion! The E36 has 5 stud hubs, but the Z1 has 4 stud. For clarification: The rear disks (rotors) on the Z1 made for most of production are Z1 only items, they are not E36 items. The fronts are E30. NOT...
