The blowers in my z3 will blow hot only when i am driving the car, when the car is stood stationary, for example at traffic lights, the blowers will turn cold. I do not have air conditioning. I think that I have the same problem as my exhaust has rattled a bit ever since I purchased the Z [about 3 yrs ago] mostly on pull away never hear it when moving, I put it down to baffles, and will just live with it. :(

Well, all is fixed. Ran RegCure and not a lot of improvement noticed :bawl: Took PC to Smart PC in my nearest big town, they installed a 1GB thingy while I waited and watched, it took about 5 min, there was no labour charge absolutely free fitting. Just an update, I have decided to let the pros do the job and have ordered a 1GB module, Do you think a registry cleaner would be any good? such as RegCure, or will my defrag and disc clean up do the same job, RegCure can be d/l for US$29.95 per year. :dunce:

Yes that is the one phb, on the pic below you can make out the 2 studs with the nuts on them, you will also see a couple of electrical leads coming from the unit, I know it needs a bit of a clean, aluminium castings are a s*d for oxidation :)

Adam, if a refill with fresh gas does not do the trick it could be the inlet camshaft sensor starting to play up, not a pocket breaking job, one thing this usually does is that the engine cuts out when pulling away from rest.
