I have still got the struts and springs off my old 2.8 which you can gladly have. There is a little surface rust on them but certainly not leaking, one strut is complete and the other has the top bearing missing hence spring and strut seperate. You can come and pick them them up by all means as I am...

OK a number of things can cause this firstly you could have an induction hose leak as they are on the left side unlike the air-pump which is on the RHS. A small split in the air intake hose usually where there is a small corrugated pipe going off to the idle control valve so check this for a split. ...

Re: Seat adjustment & airbag light.
Hi Terry, Welcome to the forum you have come to the right place but one thing you need to do is post some pics up of your car we all love looking at one anothers pride and joy. To the problem in hand I suspect you have two problems rather than both being related. Firstly the airbag light is usually ...

Well as you probably already know I had a wayward moment when I sold my 2.8 for a big V8 Jag as I always wanted to own a V8 car. The Jag was great but didn't give the driving experience the zed did so after around 6 months I started looking around again at Z3/Z4's and came to the conclusion it was a...

I have carsoft 6.5 and it has helped me out in the past with fault clearing and also reseting the SI lights. some interesting features like realtime logging of all parameters and also tells you what mileage is recorded in the ECU although don't fall into the trap I did and think my car was clocked a...

Nailed on it is the wiring passing through the rubber tube/cable guide on the left side of the boot lid. There are several wires passing through this and they are very prone to breaking particulary our cars are 10+years old now. If you remove the inner boot carpet and find the wires going upto the h...

I suspect there was probably some kind of radio interference at your gym site that caused the RF signal from the remote fob to be blocked which can sometimes happen. In terms of silencing the alarm you should have a small round key which is to silence the alarm for just such occasions or for valet m...

You also need to undo the large jubilee clip holding the MAF to the intake pipe and wiggle it out. Then the airbox should be free to just lift straight out. There is then an airduct cover over the rear of the headlight which unclips revealing the bulbs. Not straightforward but once you have done it ...

The basic fitting kit can be transferred in about half an hour with the heated rear switch taking maybe an hour later on taking your time. A respray shouldn't be a problem for a good bodyshop making sure they remove all the seals but you could save some time and money and strip it yourself. Expect t...

1986 205Gti bought it in '89 and traded in for a brand new Suzuki Swift Gti in '91 which was my first new car. This happened to me quite a few years ago so is no way new. The other thing to watch out for is you do decide to pay the dealer £10/day for the privilege of driving around in one of their liveried cars (free advertising) check the small print as the excess if you have a bump is also extortionate (~£...

I am pretty sure there was a member on here that wrote a book which was initially offered to members in hardback form and later paperback.
