I learned a trick years ago so that you dont't have to use a hammer.... spray some rust loosener between the rim and the brakedisc and also through the bolt holes and let it work for a few minutes. Sound like a great idea! I'll certainly give it a try - the boot is simply too small in the Zed - and I've never dared to use the empty space under the bonnet.

I've been where you are right now (we weren't married though) but when break up's happen there are so many things that have to get sorted and it takes a looong time.
