Rubber, bulbs and motors off... Leave the plastic clips until you have it warmed up. They can be quite brittle when cold.

Before you start removing clips etc... check to see if the complete headlight will fit into the oven so you can also close the oven door... if not, you'll have to find a mate with a big enough oven..

Re: CLEAR HEADLIGHT INDICATOR LENS SETS - £48. All incl.
Removing the headlight from the car is simple - just some screws to be removed. Dismantling / opening up the unit is more complex. There are a bunch of sprung steel clips which need to be popped off that hold the two halves together. then the unit needs to be placed in a pre-heated oven at 100 C. fo...

Sadly nobody else makes them. Best option is to find a cheap set of headlights with the clear lenses already fitted. then 2 options - 1. if the headlights are so poor that they cannot be used as a complete unit, you can remove the clear indicator lenses from the units - or 2. if they are in fair sha...

Re: 3.0 Z3 (2002) as a Donor car (shocking I hear you say !!
It would be simpler to first check the hole match of the 1.9 shaft flange with the 3.0 diff flange... it'll be easier to have new holes drilled. The 1.9 diff flanges won't fit into the 3.0 diff - it's a completely different diff. The 1.9 diff is much smaller than the 3.0 diff as a complete lump. Als...

Re: 3.0 Z3 (2002) as a Donor car (shocking I hear you say !!
The diff on the 1.9 is different to the diff on the 3.0. But the rear drive shafts do not enter into the diff.... the diff has an output flange left and right, to which the rear drive shafts are bolted... so if the 1.9 drive shafts match up to the 3.0 diff flanges you can just go ahead, alternately,...

Hi Albert. Your observation of it being most noticeable when the motor is hot, and idling is significant. It supports, Pingu's prognosis, since the chain would not be under stress whilst idling, as it would be with your foot on the gas and therefore more likely to flap about. If you use a short leng...

Re: fog light needed
If you do go for the Chinese fogs, bear in mind the lens is plastic vs glass on the OEM fittings, and as we all know, the "sandblasting" effects on the front spoiler will also dull the plastic lens fairly easily. Perhaps at the price, one should order 2 sets, save on the postage / per set,...

First, you only need one more muffler - that's unless the existing one is shot. The Z3 system is a single pipe from the front header to the rear muffler, the muffler has 2 pipes extending out the back of it. I would suggest you speak to Spurs Fan / aka Andy about a spare OEM muffler - he's like able...

I think the fundamental problem is the width x the length of the wheelbase. It's just a little too "square"... if the length had been another 500+ mm longer, it would have behaved better.
