In terms of used cars, the Z3 still gets my vote! Mike, of course we agree with you and that is why we drive Z3s but we should also not be blind to our car's inherent faults. They are far from perfect and I dare say that on Porsche or Honda forums there will be as equally damning reviews of Z3/4s.

The mileage is just a number, nothing more, nothing less. Buy on condition and proof of maintenance.

Does it not state the previous owner on the V5c? When I was researching the history of my Triumphs I downloaded a form from the DVLA website which requested the names and the (then) addresses. I seem to remember that the document was called a V888, but I may be wrong. Go on the website and I'm sure ...

Mine has a plain bumper, no side marker lights, the side lights being in the form of an extra bulb set in the headlights. Maybe a replacement bumper from a later car has been fitted and the side marker lights not connected up to come on as sidelights? Dave. My sidelights are also in the headlights....

Never get fuel there or from Morrisons next door - usually both are 5p per litre more expensive than petrol stations in Newcastle.

Having just forked out to have the front of my car sprayed, I quite like the idea of having the front bumper wrapped to protect the paint from stonechips.

I've been on the lookout for some replacement seats (beige, heated leather) and they seem to be as common as hen's teeth. I've seen the ones currently on fleabay and my current driver's seat is better than the one in the auction! But it's got me thinking - do other BMW seats fit Z3s? Would E36 coupe...
