You can't lock the car if the driver's door is open. Maybe the door closed sensor is duff. Is the interior courtesy light working correctly or is it jammed on? Also, the locks are slow to respond [1 second maybe as the alarm diasarms before popping the locks] but they should not be sluggish to opera...

what car says to go for 1.9 as 3.0 is too much for the chassis. Will you be driving it like you stole it? The Z3 is a roadster. If you want to drive to Cannes with a couple of bags for a dirty weekend then you will arrive relaxed. The 6 cylinder engine will cruise all day. The Elise (as a compariso...

Estocks, I have the original screen, is there any point in attempting removal? Maybe with a solvent it will come off without melting the plastic, but bonding it back on withhout any bubbles and with the right refractive index and correct mounting height against curved glass to make the angles work ...

Rain sensors need a set of prisms bonded to the screen at the factory. The sensor detects the refraction through the dry and wet windscreen to detect water. The parts for the prism are not available to buy and cannot be removed from the screen without destroying them. I know, I've tried! http://img2...

Sorry estocks I'm not making myself very clear. If you use you car regularly then the battery should be OK. However, I understand that you can prolong a battery's life by routine charging and topping up - ie giving it some maintenance /TLC. Does that make more sense? Ahh gotcha! :D Well this batter...

Vauxhall Main Dealer sells Delco Pro batteries at a good price. I just bought one AC Delco Premium battery (GM Branded), 70aH [biggest they had in stock for petrol cars] £74 inc VAT. :D Should have a decent warranty too, not that I'm likely to use it. http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k190/coldpost...

If Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet get doulbe sales, they will just increase their prices. Fuel prices are increasing because we are buying less fuel, more efficient cars and driving more economically. This damages OPEC's projected profits and they increase prices to match. OPEC know ex...

Check Mike Fishwick's Z3 buying guide in the knowledge base. The power roof/seats were standard on all 2.8/3.0. I don't know about the 2.0. The hardtop would be a £700 retrofit, becuase the brackets that fit it cost a whopping £270. A red roof is unusual, and they rarely go wrong. If you intend to u...

They do need to reduce reliance on aero effects for grip though. The near 50-50 split of the field between the cars that ran at Bahrain on wind tunnel designs and cars running on fluid dynamic CAD designs shows just how much a car relises on the aerodynamics for overall lap times. The only Cosworth...
