Passed the MOT yesterday with two advisories. Front pads wearing low and slight oil seepage from offside of steering rack, about which the guy on the phone said 'you might need a new steering rack?' It seemed an off the cuff remark - he's not the mechanic - and it sounds rather drastic? Not being me...

There's nothing worse than uncomfortable seats. Personally I find the Z ok as I prefer to sit lower in a car and that lets me do just that. The fully adjustable electric recaros with lumbar support are the best seats I've found for comfort and range of adjustability. Is the steering wheel at relaxe...

Having committed the cardinal sin of allowing the (new last year) battery to discharge I've had to jump start zeddie twice in the past couple of months. I use this stuff......Poorboys Natural Look Dressing on seats, dash etc., Goes a long way and quite forgiving, just wipe it on and give it a quick buff. Update, for info...

Had an Auto Electrician look at the faults, 100 quid!

Needs new drivers side switch, passenger side switch. Radio volume faulty -leaving. Dash display may return, put down to damp - leaving.

With second hand switches going to come to a couple of hundred!

If you get stuck I can send you piece of anti vandal window film. It's quite thin but perfectly clear and normally used over glass. Chuck a brick at it and the window won't disintegrate!

Saw a guy demonstrating this at a classic car show.

Effectively a superglue that doesn't stick to your fingers that would for example join rubber belts end to end in seconds.

Rather than start another insurance surprise thread.... We have 3 cars on a multi vehicle insurance policy (not the Zed). Missus calls up to make a very minor amendment and mentioned that she'll be looking for best prices when the policy runs out in 2 weeks time. No problem madam have £400 off!!!!!!...

Nice car and rather than it be top price I'd say its probably undervalued?

Warning light - gearbox electrics?

Had a light come on tonight...............a toothed cog with an exclamation mark in the middle. Referred to user manual and it's some sort of gear selection electrical fault.

Can anybody shed some more light on this for me, thanks?

I've twice had to stick the chrome trim back onto the doorhandle, the last time using some super heavy duty signmakers double sided tape.

Fortunately i've not lost it but that's more luck than judgement.

Can I buy the shaped to fit double sided pads that would originally have come with the trim?
