I wonder of that is why I couldn't find the wires for my heated seats. I was looking under the dash where as they could be fed through between the seat to the back. Mine is a 97 car also.

I have a 2.8 but I think that they are all the same. You have to go under the car, about where the passenger seat is. The filter is covered with a heat sheld secured by 4 bolts. For anyone reading this thread, it only only referring to the early alarm with the separate fob and not to the later alarm with the buttons on the key. There are therefore no chips of electronics to swap over as we are not talking about the key blade, only the separate fob unit. They key switch on ...

Had a look on ebay an they are selling the whole thing as in the case and the electronics, so might have a look at them. I've already reprogrammed my alarms to the car so I'm ok doing that again.

When I reconnected the battery after a couple of weeks the alarm didn't sound, but then did when I disconnected a few weeks later, hence the question.

After changing the gearbox oil the sump nut has developed a leak :head: The leak isn't bad only one drip every couple of months or so. I know that there are 6 clips at the rear of the grill do these clips pull out or twist to remove them, or do they not come away from the grill itself?

If you decide to go down the Powerflex route I've heard that the ride is a lot stiffer if that is what you want then fine. Even replacing the original rubber bushes will make a big difference, as the ones on the car will be worn by now. It's down to how you want the car to drive like.

On my car there are two sencers one at the top left and top right of the windscreen, so the alarm covers the cab area. The little Red led on your dash is a switch if you push it in it turns them off, and if the switch is in the out position they are active with the alarm. Hi Fender thanks for info ...
