Hopefully someone a little better with mechanical knowledge will come along and reply soon. Also after all the tests were done, was the error me...

My car doesnt have a tray under the engine and I have failed to find a part no. or further info on getting one apart from visiting a main dealer. Any help that can be supplied in terms of a part ...

Sounds like the classic central locking door actuator failed. Obviously check the fuses etc first. Other then that I would bet my hat (if I was wearing one) its the actuator as its as common as a chav outside spar. an article on how to fix here: http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17528 I...

Not even one Z3 or Z4
Today I have driven from Newport, South Wales. To the gates of Silverstone. Then down to Aylesbury Bucks, past Oxford then back to South Wales. On the entire journey I didnt see one single Z3 or Z4 until I got back home and one was driving into the local Tesco. Where have you all been hiding today????

looking at your figures the second test they come right down. the lambda is within the min - max of 0.970 -1.030 so I would rule out the lambda sensor. Because of the drop I would think that maybe the car wasnt warmed up sufficently enough. The first thing I would do is check basics like the air fil...

I had similar figures at my last M.O.T and I also have a powerflow system. I think my CAT is 200 cpi (cones per inch) It ended up being a faulty Lambda sensor and the fact the mot station failed to warm the cat up to a good operating temperature. Most mot centers just leave the car ticking over on i...

I would recommend these guys. I used my local branch and the service was excellent. I know a few others on this forum have used this company.
The link takes you to a FAQ page and details about split rims are there. Well worth a call.
